“Lived this place. Super clean. Very spacious. Quick check in. Although I was a little disappointed regarding no breakfast, every morning they putted a small brown bag in front of your door with the following (3oz juice, granola bar, fruit, a type of bread . Everything is reopening why still with this measure? Less cost for the hotel? Or to avoid paying more employees? Since most of the clientele is getting some what used to this process. Housekeeping does not come to your room every day. They come when you need something. Good thing they do send you a text and ask if you need something for your room or change sheets. I believe they do a general cleaning every Wednesday.”

“This hotel was perfect for my quick overnight stay in Anchorage. The room was ridiculously large. The bed and pillows were comfy and the room was warm when I walked in. The shuttle service from the hotel was quick both ways and was running super early in the morning. I appreciated the grab and go breakfast in the morning since my flight was before the actual breakfast opened,. The food wasn't anything special, but it was a nice touch. I hear they have a bar and restaurant, but I didn't use either this trip.”

“When you reach Dana's place, you get a warm greeting from Dana. The fire place is on in the living room. You get to relax with freshly baked cookies and tea, coffee or hot chocolate. The bedroom is beautifully appointed with headboards painted by Dana. The room we stayed in had two queen beds and two full closets with attached bathroom with a bathtub. Dana is good resource for recommendations for good dining in the area and outdoor activities. When you leave, you are asked to leave a hand print on her wall and sign it. It was a great overnight stay. If we make it back to Alaska, we will be back.”

“If I could give 500 stars I would. We were stuck in the hotel 3.5 days due to plumbing hell at our house. But Hilton Garden Inn was wonderful. Clean, quiet, warm and spacious rooms. I brought my cat there too, and she went missing. (Turns out she had climbed under and up into the bed) but the hotel was so kind about it all. I highly recommend the breakfast and heated pool too. Fabulous place to stay.”

“Some of these reviews must be outdated. I paid for a week stay. The views are absolutely breathtaking. I could see the mountains and sunset from the quietness of my room. When I checked in the front desk associates were helpful and ensured I got a room with a view as requested. The halls were clean and even though its a cost friendly hotel there were no signs of cigarette/marijuana smoke or illegal activities. I got amazing room service and the newspaper was left on the desk. There are also plenty of amenities for travelers here, airport shuttle, fast free wifi (works well), fitness room, vending/ice machines, and it's close to several places to eat and events. Its clean, affordable, safe, and better than most cost friendly hotels in Anchorage, Alaska.”

“This establishment is absolutely outstanding! It’s walking distance to downtown Anchorage, yet very tranquil. The rooms are modern, well-appointed, and everything is up-to-date and clean. Breakfast is always delicious; jam is made from berries grown on the property. Parks and wildlife are nearby – we saw a moose and her baby 10 minutes after arriving! You have to see the property in person to understand why it’s named “City Garden” – amazing plants! The owners possess a deep knowledge of the state’s history, it’s people and wildlife. They are always up for a lively discussion. We would definitely stay again and recommend this place to friends and colleagues.”

“I really enjoyed my stay during my trip to Alaska. I had no idea the Iditarod was starting the same weekend I was in Anchorage, but the festivities did not disappoint. The hotel is within walking distance of many things. I visited the museum, and a few restaurants and bars in the city as well as watched the ceremonial start of the race. Fletcher's, which is one of Cook's three restaurants, was fantastic. I went there several times for drinks and food. The service there was fantastic. The Captain's Deck had good breakfast and good afternoon snacks. The coffee was very good. All of the staff at the hotel is super great and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I will definitely return during a summer to experience the summer side of Alaska.”
