“Such a beautiful place to be immersed in nature. Great trail options so u can opt for shorter or longer walks if you are with people(or kids or elderly) that need smaller distances. I can't believe that was my first time. It's one of those hidden gems that not many people even know about. But it's a definite "must do" if you need some nature therapy! Will definitely be back and packing some water so i can roam in there more hours. Turtles, ducks, birds, squirrels, lizards, trees, water.. yes please!????”

“I grew up in Long Beach and but don't often make it to the interior of the park but got here at 6 a.m. in the morning in order to reserve a spot for our Thanksgiving dinner. The park is incredibly beautiful at this time of the morning and a gem hidden in plain sight. Great place to walk, watch Birds, and watch the sun come up. Just beautiful in the morning.”

“Several lovely trails. Safe and fun for the whole family. It costs $7 (Cash Only) to park and there is limited parking. If you don't mind turning it into quite the walk you can park at the Long Beach Town Center and take the river bed down. Alternatively, you can park at the Park across the street, but you will have to pay again. There are plenty of birds, turtles and bugs to see at the nature center as well as a small information center. A calendar near the entrance provides additional details of what to expect in the weeks ahead.”

“Had a Great Time here with our son and his little doggie. What surprises me is that so very many different types of dogs can get along so very well with each other while in a fenced in area. Great place to bring the family doggie and have some fun chatting with the dog owners there too.”

“Attendants are friendly and helpful. This park is pretty big so don't hesitate to ask for directions.”

“The park is bounded on the east by the 605 Freeway, on the north by the Long Beach Town Center shopping mall, and on the south by Stearns Street. Because of the barrier of the freeway and park between the neighborhood and the rest of Long Beach, as well as the barrier created by near Norwalk Blvd and the Coyote creek and the neighboring cities, the El Dorado Park neighborhood feels quite separate. The regional park sits in a flood zone, and it protects residences from spillover from the neighboring San Gabriel River.”
