“This popular worker-owned cooperative in Atwater Village knows how to make pastries. Their croissants get pretty good marks on my scoreboard: flaky outside, moist inside, with a nice buttery taste. A little bit on the light and soft side, but that's all I can nitpick. Other items I've tried are on point too, including za'atar croissant, ham and cheese croissant, savory scone, and canelé. That said, I got bored after a few weeks going to Proof. However nice the staff seems, the vibe of the bakery is that of a business, not of a neighbor. There is always one staff member behind the counter to prepare the order, and another person at the cashier for the payment. The streamline process inadvertently makes it harder to initiate a meaningful, personal interaction and makes the experience more transactional. At the end of the day, when the pastry is long gone, there is little left to remember.”

“I was drawn into the Crystal Matrix Center by the magnificent display of crystals in the window. I’ve never seen such a cool collection of spiritual things. While inside you really do feel the difference in the air. It feels good spending time in here and there are so many beautiful things it would take more than a lifetime to appreciate all of them. Each type of crystal is said to have different properties that promote everything from raising your self esteem to promoting better sleeping habits. I think if I were to wear some of this awesome jewelry my self esteem would definitely go up 😅😂 My favorite thing is seeing the crystal skulls here. They were playing spiritual chanting music, the smells of sweet fragrances filled the air. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They offer classes, meditation and workshops as well. “I picked up pizza for takeaway one Friday night. It was super easy to order off their website via Toast. I parked half a block away and there were plenty of spots. The pizza was quite good, and super fairly priced (~$18 for a larger than one person sized pizza). The crust was a little too crispy and thin and the sauce wasn’t really my jam, but it’s definitely worth a try! Everyone was so friendly when I went to pick up too.”

“Hello everyone! So if your curious about an honest opinion about this place I got one for you! This was my first time here and personally I thought it was great! However because it was my first time I wished I got to use their sauna. Which is why I only gave them 4 stars because I'm not sure how much of a better experience it would be. But overall, the service was good and the massage was on point! I literally felt where all my knots were and I got my whole body massage. The only thing is when my masseuse was stretching out my under arm it kinda hurt. Personally it felt kinda like a Indian burn. Kinda wish she put on my oil and rubbed it out. It didn't hurt for too long though just for a few hours, by the end of the day the pain went away.”

“Starting PT at Stay Ready last spring was one of the best decisions I have made in a very long time. After still having pain following a meniscus surgery, my orthopedist sent me to Stay Ready, and my visits there quickly reduced my knee pain, got me stronger, and became the highlights of my week. In the 8 months since then, I have worked with almost everyone at Stay Ready and could not recommend them all more highly. They are a superbly talented team, across the board, and all have wonderful personalities that make coming to PT fun and informative. Although I would recommend seeing anyone at Stay Ready to a friend or family member, I have an enormous soft spot for Karin, the therapist I go to the vast majority of the time, who is one of the most intelligent, kind, supportive, and effective medical professionals I have ever known. She has not only helped me build strength so that my knee pain is virtually gone, but she has also: helped me address other random physical ailments as-needed; taught me a tremendous amount about anatomy, training in general, and skiing (our shared passion); and become a close personal friend in the process. From my very first appointment, I could tell I was in excellent hands at Stay Ready, which is a massively reassuring feeling after being fed up for years with pain and the inability to live my life as I wanted to. When I first started at Stay Ready, I couldn't go on a long walk without having at least some discomfort. Now, I am skiing, skateboarding, hiking, dancing, and doing all the things I love, while feeling stronger than ever. And although I'm very excited to be making such progress, I'll be very sad when the day comes that Stay Ready isn't in my life anymore. The music might be my favorite part, they play classic alternative punk; Blink 182, All American Rejects, etc. Devon, one of the staff members there, was very helpful.
