“Pierce college is new and beautiful. It's in the heart of the West San Fernando valley on Victory and Mason near Woodland Hills. There is lots of parking (at least in the evening) and the teachers are professional and knowledgable. California really gets it right with their community college system. From fully online registration to coordinating classes and schedules with other colleges in the district to connecting their curriculum with universities so you are adequately prepared. The tuition is affordable, there are all sorts of free programs from free healthcare to tutoring, etc. I decided to go back to school after earning a BS in Business Finance. I am taking the Programming for Computer Science certificate program. I'm surprised to see how many "older" students there are with similar ambitions. It feel so good to be here.”

“I went to this location plenty of times. I’ve spoken with one of the managers her name is jerkia before in donations small Interaction they were closing the donations and I end up coming late and she let me bring a few items to the store and I felt welcomed. Out of all the people there she was the best and she made sure to give me the coupon. Another good incident I had with jerkia was this jacket I was buying had no buttons and it had a stain and the people In the back priced it for so much even with the stains and everything but jerkia lowered it for me she’s such a kind sweet soul. We need more people like her in the world .”

“This is a magical bookshop! It's family run and has been open since 1958. It is the place to go for quality used and out of print books. Everything is organized perfectly, so you can get lost in your favorite topic. They're only open 11 - 4 on Fridays & Saturdays and are near the Van Nuys Courthouse. I'm not sure that the owners won't retire soon, so I recommend that if you're a book lover, get there soon!”

“I’ve been going to this bookstore for years, and unlike some of the lower star reviews; this place has been a great place for providing me with all my spiritual food, as well as some great conversations over the years. I drive all the way from La Mirada to get my fix! Not that that’s a far way mileage wise(maybe just over 30 miles); but LA traffic is an entirely different situation lol. I’ve never witnessed any backbiting or negative talk during all my times at this wonderful sanctuary for my soul! Heck. The last time I was there (or second to last time): a wonderful brother bought me multiple copies of the Ashtavakara Gita! A complete stranger, who only wanted to bless me with the supreme nectar of nonduality! I even had the privilege once to sit with John Dobson (May he rest in power) and ask him some science/spirituality related questions! While I don’t mean to come off as an apologist for the Vedanta Society, or their bookstore! My personal experience is that you’ll find more honey around these parts than vinegar! Humans are humans are humans, and it’s hardly a surprise when people fall victims to their lower selves from time to time! I encourage one and all to check out the bookstore whenever time permits. It’s the biggest little bookstore around! You won’t be disappointed.”
