“Overall positive school. The principal is proactive and involved, she is working hard to advance her school, and she is by all measures doing a good job. The principal communicates with parents every week on Sunday and informs them of the upcoming week. The teachers are decent too and do their best to give their kids a good education. The school has several programs, activities and events to keep parents involved. The Oak Grove School District is not a wealthy district and at Parkview the kids qualify for free lunch at a rate of over 50% of the population. The majority of the families appear to be working class blue collar, with a few white collar professional parents thrown into the mix. Overall the parents are nice and concerned about their kids. Some of the kids come from single parent homes. A small minority of the kids have behavioral issues, possibly because of the home situation. The demographics are very mixed with Latino and Asian students the majority, then white and black kids. It is a good demographic mix and reflects San Jose and California well. I like the school, my son likes the school and if the parent is involved with their kids education, they can succeed here. Recommended.”

“This place is a very well hidden secret. It has amazing ambiance, the wooden walls look very welcoming and the seating is nice too. The ingredients are fresh, a large variety on the menu. We went for a poke bowl with a crunchy tortilla. Over the next half hour, we reveled in the fresh salmon, greens, rice and delights of this dish, all the while wondering when the terms 'healthy' and 'delicious' finally converged. Eventually this place will have well-deserved long lines.”
