“This is one of my favorite local parks to hike in. The park is pretty well maintained and you have to pay for parking. The trails are pretty level, so it's great for a non-strenuous walk. This is a great place to bring your family. If you have pollen allergies, be sure to take some allergy meds ahead of time since there are a TON of sycamore trees in the park.”

“This park is well located and has good size fields for games. The play area and structures for kids are very good, and has good options to satisfy most kids. There are grown trees around giving ample shade. Restrooms are right there close to the play structures. It’s not crowded at all and has ample parking for everyone. Great place.”

“A very nice neighborhood park located adjacent to Mendenhall Middle School. It has a children's playground area for the younger crowd. There is lots of grass and trees in the area for field sport activities. It is also adjacent to the small baseball sports park, so for the little one who get bored with their older siblings playing baseball, they can come over here to play on the equipment.”

“Absolutely stunning! To see varieties of trees from Japan! How they have recovered and nurtured rare trees. Amazing! Be prepared to walk ALOT, it is Cali so sunscreen, hat, water. Plenty of places and shade to sit. Very quiet here. Enjoy!”

“Love walking my dog out there & letting her run around. Its close to home. Only wish we could go down to the water too but it's all fenced in. Lots of ducks, geese & other birds, also frogs, lizards & snakes. Even coyotes, that usually just come out in the evenings/night. Occasionally see one in the day, out by the water (inside the fence), though they can get out onto the trail also. They won't bug you if you don't bug them. Almost a 2 mile walk around the whole trail. Great place to walk/jog, with or without your dog, or just bird watch. Best time to go there is in late winter early spring, though still great year round. Definitely recommend checking it out!”

“Took my dog Tara for her 1st visit to the beach. This place is easy to get to right off the 101, easy parking, friendly people camped out and easy access to the beach and it is a very nice place to just sit and watch the surfers too. There is a small cafe snack place, public wash rooms and place to sit down and eat while watching the surf.”

“Beautiful park with nice grassy areas to sit and enjoy the view. Down the beach you can find the Children's Pool which has Sea Lions swimming about. There's a couple of areas where you can walk down to the sand and take a dip if you feel like, but I wouldn't recommend going down there in the evening when the tide comes in. The waves can get very violent.”

“I've been going here since I was a kid, 50 some years. Great surfing spot. Large rock formations are dramatic when they're visible. Sometimes during the year the rocks are under the sand. The shore break and strong rip current can be a challenge. Keep a close eye on the kids. Parking can be a challenge during busy times. Very small parking lot so you'll probably have to find a spot on one of the residential streets.”

There are vacant fields and sidewalks that connect to another play area. Baseball fields, indoor and out door basketball courts. Hills to bomb on skateboard s scooters or bikes.”
