“This is a continuation of the Chabot to Garin trail, connecting Don Castro below to the 5 Canyons trail system which continues on to south Hayward and Garin Park. The first hill up to the water tanks is pretty aggressive, and I would rate it as difficult, but it's only 1/4 of a mile and then you're at the top. After that, it is all easy and medium difficulty. Beautiful views of the Bay and a great place to watch the sun set! Enjoy the beautiful grasslands and Oak and Bay Tree forest! Lots of wildlife.”

“This is hilly area and as you climb up the trail the view is better and better. At the top there is a nice bench where you can rest, eat a sandwich and admire the area towards the West. When the weather is clear you can see San Francisco. For a longer trail of about 6 miles you can park in Don Castro park (free on weekdays) and navigate your way based on the EBMUD supplied maps or your own.”

“We are new to Riverside and this was one of our first outings. Our family (from ages 6-51) had a wonderful time visiting and learning about the varieties of citrus grown in this area. Our tour guide was so friendly and funny! His knowledgeable explanations and his whit made it a delightful experience. The others visitors within our group added to the experience by sharing their insights and stories as well. Beautiful views and photo ops made it a hit! Loved the indoor museum, super clean and warm restrooms and the TASTING table. The gift shop was on point. Nothing over done and not lacking either. Simple and tasteful. Pun intended. We will definitely be back and every visitor we ever have will be taken here! Inspired to learn more about the citrus history of Riverside.”

“Peaceful, well kept. Police officers pop by every once in a while. Only downside is some of the houses there. That look like crack houses.”

“Big and open, parking isn't too bad if you don't walking a little or get lucky and a spot right in front of the field.”

“Hidden gem, 20 mins from my house, large spots, clean RR, we camped at the lakeside campground in the back water and electricity only, it was quiet, peaceful. Didn't catch anything but it was nice and relaxing, saw a few skunks later at night while relaxing at campfire. We will be back”
