So it's a great 3 mile walk/jog/bike. There are great views the whole way (mostly valley with some ocean ad well). The trail is wide and packed dirt. It's mostly flat with a couple inclines that are noticeable. Easy, and a nice view the whole way with many nice houses to check out as well.”

“Best public golf course in California period. The staff, the course, the views, the fairways, the greens are all Outstanding. Best time to go out is during Nov after their fall aeration and walk up around 5am to be the first one out and play the round in under 4.5 hours (walking). People complain about the rate. But you will forget about how much you paid for the round on the South Course after you finish hole number 3. One of the best and it is a true must for all Golfers to play.”

Angel Island East Bay Sites

Address: Belvedere Tiburon, CA 94920, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“There is water and a very gnarly pit toilet available. Site #2 is great for several tents whereas site #3 is a great view. (I didn't visit site #1). Site #3 has a great view of the Bay Bridge and San Francisco but there is very little flat ground. For this reason I'd suggest #2 if possible. Regardless of specific site, you will be sharing the campsite with raccoons. The staff recommends leaving your tent unzipped while you're not at camp because the "raccoons will get inside it one way or another" and "it doesn't matter if you have food in your tent or not".”

Milagra Ridge

Address: Pacifica, CA 94044, USA

“A unit of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Milagra Ridge is, to quote the NPS, "is a habitat “island” with breathtaking coastal views and a surprising array of plants and wildlife. First used by native Ohlone people, this land was later claimed by Spanish settlers and Mexican rancheros. The U.S. Army installed a gun battery here in the 1940’s, and during the Cold War built a Nike missile station on Milagra and nearby Sweeney Ridge. In 1984, Milagra Ridge became part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area." Its fascinating history and ecology is described on NPS information signs on the trails through the area.”
