“Been running this trail twice a week for almost two years. Great place. People just need to be careful with their small pets. I've seen Coyotes ON the trail a few times, and heard a howling pack just a few hours ago.”

“Nice park despite the shady surroundings. Definitely a place to visit during daylight hours but not so much after sundown. Its located in an late progressing neighborhood therefore there maybe a mixture of type of visitors to the park on any given day.”

“Good place to have fun. The only problem is the people that goes there, they bring food and drinks then they leave all the garbage on the floor.”

“Best veiw of South San Francisco. I enjoyed every second there. My family and I had a birthday cousin and we couldn't have chosen a better spot to grill food and enjoy the wonderful grass with a family game of soccer. The park rangers were really friendly and kind couldn't have asked for a better time as one like that. I can't fathom enough the beauty of the place as well as the view.”

“Beautiful place to view nature. Make sure you have a bottle of water and prepare yourself for an afternoon of waking trails through the magnificent Santa Monica Canyon’s. Wholesome family fun at its best. Five stars! I used to frequent the Canyon when I was under 30 and then I moved to the city (Santa Monica Cyn) and became busy.”

“I love that there's so much to do for free in the Los Angeles area that you would never dream is actually here. My companion has been hiking in this area many many times and felt that I would be able to do this hike even just recovering from knee surgery. He was right. We walked up to the ruins of a house that had been built higher up on the hills and we spend a lot of time poking around and imagining what that house would have looked like in its Glory Days the walk is easy, much of it is still asphalt although it's been damaged in many places and is not strictly flat. There were some areas that he knew were very Steep and probably wouldn't have been good for my knee and we took alternate routes because many were available. We cross some very shallow creeks with dry rocks in them that we could easily navigate without slipping into the water. This was a very clean hiking area. I saw absolutely no trash lying around to make the scenery any less beautiful. I'm sure there's a lot of fauna in the area but we didn't see any ourselves on this trip. I can say for sure this is an area I will go back to once my knees are better and I would look forward to doing some more exploration and seeing what else is available there. There are restrooms at the start of the trail. They look like they would be regular bathrooms but they are kind of like glorified out houses in effect. But it's the kind of thing to be grateful for that there is a restroom at all LOL. By the way there's a really cool modern glass House that you can see from the parking lot. I'm not sure how to get there or whether it's actually inhabited or not but it's really cool to look at.”

“This is Elephant Rock and Indian caves. Somebody put in a disc golf course, but it looks like it is still a party area judging by the tens of millions of broken glass shards all over the ground. If Parks and Recs really wanted to utilize it, they should do a major cleanup.”

“Awesome hike from Grand Avenue Park to Chino Hills Parkway (where you can access ANOTHER great trail if you're feelin froggy????). The tunnel underneath Grand that you go through to get started is neat, and the steep hills provide a decent challenge. Great views on a clear day of all the mountains in the area, and round trip will only take a little over an hour.”

Address: 18751 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, USA
“Absolutely love this hike. Get up there a couple times per week and the views are always spectacular. Long uphill to start but then evens out and is well worth any initial struggle. A multitude of options once you get to the ridge - head toward Crystal Cove State Park or into Laguna and take an uber back to staging area or hike back depending on your schedule.”

“Such a fun and amazing trail! Looks like lots of hard work went into it and I love going here. It's a real gem tucked away right in the middle of a neighborhood, blink and you miss it. Wish they allowed dogs but they don't, which is understandable with the sensitive habitat. I'll walk him somewhere else I guess...”
