“Our cat was recommended here by our primary veterinarian for both the cardiologist and the internist. Both specialists and all the support staff were kind and knowledgeable. Without a prior appointment they fit us into their busy schedule on a Friday afternoon. We never felt rushed. The cardiologist diagnosed the condition in detail explaining everything to us, taking all the time needed. The internist did the same. The techs and support staff were wonderful and even completed my pet insurance forms without delay. The specialists were in ongoing contact with my primary vet and jointly we decided the next course of action. This is a wonderful specialty practice I would not hesitate to use again. “Been coming to this place for over ten years and it’s had a lot of changes post Dr. Polk. Definitely pleased with the current staff. Gina, the office manager is incredible. The person I would want crunching my numbers any day. She is incredibly proactive and on the ball! She always works with my insurance and tries to get the best possible outcome she can, let’s be real, the insurance typically does the final calculations, but she is typically 99% spot on. Also, for having to be the bearer of bad news, she delivers in a very professional and caring fashion. She gets it, we are humans who don’t grow money. Also, she calls and provides detailed reminders of next appointments, I appreciate this lady a LOT! Linda, the hygienist. Super friendly and equally educated. She keeps the conversation comfortable and gets your teeth cleaned like nobody’s business. Pretty sure I asked her the stupidest question today (“why do you blow air on my teeth?” In case you were wondering) and she didn’t make me feel ignorant at all, I can tell she takes pride in educating her patients and teaching them better ways of preventative care. Thank you, Linda. Lastly, Dr. Paylor, I’ve only just met him briefly and had a quick exam, he seemed incredibly personable and gentle with the instruments, soo I’m hoping my next apt goes smoothly and he is great at his job. “I had gum tissue graft surgery 10 days ago and Dr. Sakkaris did an excellent job. This is not something we choose to do for fun, of course, and I was anxious about it. He and his staff told us about what the surgery would involve, gave me specific details written down to follow before the surgery and afterward, and even called me the day before to make sure I had gotten my prescriptions filled and had started taking them. They also answered my questions regarding pain medications afterwards as I am sensitive to medications. I was referred to Dr. Sakkaris by my regular dentist, Dr. Stang, who is with Standley Shores Dental Group. (also excellent-very skilled, listens and explains, wonderful staff, etc.). Dr. Sakkaris and Dr. Stang work together with patients to make sure there is the "team" approach provided with these types of problems. My gum recession had progressed to the point where Dr. Stang felt it would be good to see what Dr. Sakkaris' thoughts were concerning options for my problem and avoiding further gum recession. I never felt pushed in making the choice for this surgery by either one of them--just informed as to what my choices were and felt there was a sincere desire to try to help me with their expertise and experience. The staff has been nothing but friendly, helpful, and attentive. (Ivie is very knowledgeable and helpful as one of Dr. Sakkaris' assistants as are Nicole and Shawna on the staff) Dr. Sakkaris and Rebecca, the assistant helping with my surgery, that day, coordinated very well together throughout the whole 90 minute operation. I opted for nitrous oxide and it really helped take the edge off. My husband was called 15 minutes ahead of time to pick me up after the surgery so was waiting when I was done. I was made to feel very comfortable and would trust Dr. Sakkaris with any procedures I may need in the future. He is very careful, thorough, and experienced. I recommend him and his staff to you if you are needing to find a periodontist. He knows his stuff and you will be in good hands!!”
