“This is a community garden that is post of The Peterson Garden Project. Anyone can sign up to grow in an 8x4 foot raised garden bed. I've been growing a plot here for about three years. It's a wonderful activity for me and my kid to do together. Also a nice nature break from city living.”

“It's great to observe the environment evolve, as indigenous plants and birds return to the restored habitat. Unfortunately, during warm seasons people sometimes encourage their unleashed dogs to run into the habitat. In winter, cross-country skiers sometimes sever the rope fence that protects the habitat in order to sneak inside. People have even set-off fireworks inside the habitat. All of those activities are damaging.”

“One of a series of little beach parks along the Lakeshore. It's great to have the public green space.”

“probably the best park in the city is it located in the North part of Chicago and is always less crowded than any on the parks across the river. the parking situation is always okay and you can always find the spot. they have grass for barbecue and the beach has a pretty good amount of sand so you can chill anytime you want to. it's great for kids families and dogs since most of the time there's nobody there so you can just let your dog run around”

“Leone Beach was great, especially on a warm August evening. I couldn't keep myself from trying out the water temp, most in Chicago hopefully know the water doesn't get warm enough til at least August and ceases being warm in early October, when temps cool down. I walked along the beach in the water and it was great.”
