I'm a nurse and being said I'm picky on where I stay and lay my head down. So believe me when I say that this place is an excellent choice. Its an excellent choice!!!! Nothing compares to being at home but here feels pretty close to home. It's very clean, you always have everything you need without asking, fresh coffee every morning, and a great continental breakfast, and most importantly GREAT Owner's and employees that treat you as family and NOT just a nother customer. “Great host with great amenities. Our night started off with a fire in the fire place, martinis, and a few games of pool. After that we had a sweat in the sauna and then finished with a soak in the hottub. This morning we had breakfast made to order. There isn't really anything else I could have asked for!”

“Cleanliness is one thing I expect or I just don’t sleep well . I had an exceptional nights rest here . The mattress was literally the best I have experienced in a while, newer pillows , crisp linen and the hvac had options for constant fan low to high! The lobby is beautiful , landscaping was very nice and location was convenient to many nearby restaurant options . I will stay again !!! “This is such a terrific place, it was perfect for our one-night stay. My wife and I wanted to go visit Scratch Brewery, so we were looking for a place sort of nearby. The innkeepers Julia and George are truly delightful people, very kind and attentive; and Julia is an outstanding cook. The room was so nice and the bed comfortable. We had a relaxing time sitting on the spacious back porch and going to the White Rooster Farmhouse Brewery a short walk away. I am often quite picky about where I stay, and I found no fault whatever in The Orchid House. We will definitely be back again.”

“higher rating because for the price this was exactly worth it. pros: no bugs, good security (good for the few female entrepreneurs), clean shower, close to where we needed to be (douglass park). cons: carpet was disgusting, like wet and dirty. so maybe get a room without carpet! overall the room was just kind of smelly and musty. also there was a strip eyelash in the bed under the covers. but like for the price I can’t complain!!”

“The staff (front desk, maintenance, and household) was very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy. When asking for more blankets they were more than accommodating. It was a very homey type feel. The front desk concierge made us feel welcomed and even gave us a great tip on where to get some good deep dish Chicago pizza. It was a 10 minute drive to the Naval Academy and not far from Six Flags. Walmart is right around the corner and there were many places close by to grab something to eat. I would definitely come back and stay again.”

“This is such a nice and safe mobile hoke community. My friend has lived here for years and my experience has always been pleasant with their neighbors and the area in general. They have a playground and nicely paved roads. The yards are clean and well maintained as well. I would say it's definitely one of the nicer mobile home communities in St Clair County Illinois.”

“For a best western it’s pretty good. They are all privately own but this location staff was very diverse and amazing and the front desk was great. The housekeeping was good no bugs. No loud noise and surrounded by so many good stores and restaurants. Exactly what you see in owners photos is what u get. Will recommend”

“I gave this 5 stars. Its a simple campground with showers, and electricity. I I went on a blustery 8 degree night followed by a 40 degree day. I hiked six miles, and it was so much fun. Everything is close by, everyone was friendly, it was absolutely beautiful.”

“We just enjoyed yet another egg-cellent breakfast with world-class service at the Country Inn Cafe & Motel! We do so almost every week. The food is always hot and cooked to order. The facilities are organized and clean. The staff is always warm and friendly. You really cannot ask for much more at a small town location. The setting and vibe is a perfect combination of Luke's Diner meets Cheers 😁. They also offer delectable lunch and dinner specials, including some of the best fried chicken around 🤤🤤. I have never had the need to stay at the motel. But I have had several friends and family stay at the motel and they always rave about the friendly staff as well as the neatness and cleanliness of the rooms. (Not to mention, very reasonable all the way around) P.S. Try Grandma's homemade biscuits (with sausage gravy) and massive cinnamon rolls! I promise that you will not be disappointed!”

The price was terrific, great location, and very nice staff. My room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was always there to help. It was also very quiet. “We had a wonderful stay at this most charming inn. Innkeepers Connie and Gary are such gracious hosts and welcome their guests with sincerity and kindness. Our room was cozy and exceptionally clean, and the common area where you can sit and relax was likewise cozy with a gas fireplace to add to the ambience. The homemade breakfasts made by Connie are absolutely wonderful! And you will be treated with delicious homemade baked desserts that are served every afternoon. The inn is located in the quaint village of Elsah where you can stroll through the town and visit a few unique shops. Gary gave a tour of the town's museum which we enjoyed very much. We can't say enough good things about this lovely inn, and we definitely plan to return. Thank you Connie and Gary!”

“Great for 1 night maybe 2 nights max. If you're a light sleeper, just bring ear plugs and you'll be fine (this should just be a standard practice when staying anywhere over night). There is some utility noise (water/plumbing). Bed was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast included cereal, fruits and make your own waffles. There was no microwave in our room, just a fridge/freezer combo.”
