“Wow, this is such a nice quiet park and beautiful. It has really large trees, picnic tables, ball fields, playground equipment and restrooms available. Not to mention that the park is really clean and has a lot of open areas to run around . Also , in the summertime the trees offer plenty of shade if you are interested in watching one of the many ball games going on.”

“A true hidden gem! Everyone who loves baseball needs to experience a game at Roemer Park. Win or lose it’s the most special place to watch kids play. The love and care that goes into this unique ballpark is like no other. The walls of flowers (including in hanging baseball batting caps) and the tchotchkes are perfectly manicured and placed. Even a basket of blankets for cool nights! It’s like a walk back in time to America’s true pastime. Can’t wait to go back.”

“Great hiking opportunity traversing several different types of terrain. Some hilly parts, some flat trails. Bluffs trail is beautiful, overlooking Fox River far below (we did not continue downhill at this point, as the trail was steep, wet and leaf covered). Will be coming back for additional hiking, would be beautiful in the fall but we hiked after leaves had already fallen. Most trails are suitable for families with small children.”

“There isn't anything not to like about the Oak Park & River Forest Symphony. The planning, talent of the musicians, Music Director Jay Friedman, reasonably priced for all to enjoy. All involved with their success is a "a labor of love!"”

“This is an absolutely beautiful trail that I am surprised isn't used more. I love the scenery and the mural dedicated to who the the trail is named after. A portion of it crosses the Little Calumet River and winds through the Whistler Woods Forest preserve. What keeps it from 5 stars is unclear signage showing where the trial continues in some areas. Overall, the trail is beautiful.”
