We rented bikes from Fancy Apple through our Sightseeing Pass. Reserving the bikes online was easy. All employees were helpful and efficient, even adjusting the seats to the proper height for my daughter and me. They directed us to Central Park which is only a couple of blocks away. We were able to ride around the one way loop of Central Park, stopping and locking up the bikes when we wanted to explore further. Maybe they couldn’t take responsibility for the excellent weather, but we had a perfect day!
This was a great tour! Me and my parents did it in Spanish and I highly recommend it. Jay our tour guide was super friendly and it was a very easy route to do. We will definitely recommend this rentals to our friends.
October 2022 tour was so great we wanted to do it again June 2023!
Fancy and Darrell did NOT disappoint!
Easily booked online a private scooter tour through Central Park. $69each, +$7 in insurance to cover bike damage or theft.
We got there much earlier than expected and yet Darrel accommodated!
The scooters were ready and we were (reminded) shown how to use them. “Push push throttle” ☺️. Walked the 2blocks to the park and we were off!
Once again, Darrell guided us and educated us of the various interesting historical and nuances of Central Park. Got us to a clean restroom (that’s important!), and answered any of our off-topic questions while keeping us on track and timely
I can’t say enough about his patience, encouragement, knowledge, and just overall AWESOMENESS as a tour guide, who felt like an old friend!
He/fancy does Brooklyn so that’s our next plan/tour…probably be back early fall for DUMBO+.
We booked our 2 hour guided bike tour through New York Sightseeing Pass. The staff in the shop were fine until they heard this bit and then became very offish and unfriendly. We were not impressed with this start. As for the rest of the tour and our guide, we could not fault it. Unfortunately we cannot remember our guides name 😕 but he really made the trip a treat. We were quite a large group and he kept us safe and under control.
Would recommend this tour to anyone!
I was skeptical of this because of some poor experiences with the NY Sightseeing Pass that I purchased. I felt doubtful they'd even honor it after other places would not. But, I called to verify and got us signed up for a tour. The guide, Manny, was absolutely wonderful!! I've been the Central Park a few times but having his local knowledge was amazing. His love for the park and this city made everybody hang on his words and all 8 people on the tour really seemed to enjoy it. He pointed out fun facts about the buildings, talked to us about the history of the park, showed us several movie locations and took us to see the building where John Lennon lived and was shot! We saw the Imagine Mosaic and the Strawberry fields. Great tour, well worth the listed price. The bikes ran well, the pedaling wasn't difficult and really even on a cool NYC day in March we felt the weather was doable!
