“We were invited by our very good friends to join them for dinner at the Chateau. Our drive was over an hour and worth every minute. The service and food was exceptional. I had duck and it was perfect. I'm used to a breast filet; this is served as a complete roasted half and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had rack of lamb and again better than expected. We will return in a few weeks to try other entrees that we were told were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for service, food and ambiance. I should mention the acoustic guitarist that made the occasion a few points higher.”

“I wish I had unlimited space to rave about Camp Monroe! My 12 year old son attends the camp and it is truly a magical place for him. He loves the sports. He gets so much positive feedback and words of encouragement. He feels like a winner in both the activities he participates in and the values he receives. It is at Camp Monroe where both his Judaic and moral compass gets reinforced if not elevated. He would spend all year at camp if he could. ”

“Nice big breakfast area with the standard Hampton inn breakfast. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and was able to get to sleep with no issues. Rooms were very clean. A little hard to find. This Hampton is behind a shopping center.. Kohl's. Friendly staff.”

“Although I went here in the middle of November, and only went into one of the reception hall areas, the Park looks very beautiful. I have previously lived in Monroe and did not know that this park was here. I will be definitely coming back in the future to explore it further.”

“This was an amazing place to stay! My family and I rented this for a Family Getaway. Everything that you needed was there. A lot of shopping in town which is about 5 minutes away. Very Scenic and Serene. All your accommodations that are needed will be there. This historic Mansion is breathtaking!”

“This place was awesome. The view was stunning. There is a fire pit there and the owner lets you use it. Just clean up after yourself, and remember not to pollute. The owner is a friendly guy and treats you right. He brought us breakfast and it was delish. The rooms were so clean. Holy moly it was so nice to see a clean room. I love the dog that is on the property, so relaxed and chill. You're minutes away from bars, boat rentals scenic drives and the creamery. It's a beautiful place to stay when you want to get away from all the kerfuffle. Stay here, and I promise you'll love it.”

“Great location for camping or just spending the day! Great views and very peaceful. About a 1 1/2 mile hike heading north from the red Ramapo-Dunderberg Trailhead on Route 106. There are a few parking spots there at the trailhead. Checked with NYS Park Police and overnight parking is allowed. Came up on a Friday afternoon in mid-October 2018 and spent the night tented out behind the shelter. There were two others camping in the shelter and four others tenting around the shelter along with me. Everyone was quiet and friendly. Only issue was that around 1030pm a group of about 10 guys showed up and set up camp. They were loud, drinking, and shining their headlamps around for a while, which was annoying. Other issue is firewood. Get in early and bring a camping saw/axe and prepare to scavenge for a while. Also, it can get quite windy. All in all, will camp there again!”

“I really like the breakfast they served. We stayed over two nights for a wedding. We had the house to ourselves with the bride and groom. Too bad we had work or else we have stayed up. They let us use the eating area to hang out as a small afterparty.”

“I live in Warwick, but this is my favorite place to eat during the nice weather. Inside or outside, the view from this restaurant is definitely the best on the lake. Their burgers are amazing (even though for some reason the chef refuses to put bacon on a hamburger, I don't get that!) The short ribs are excellent the salmon is excellent and the wait staff is excellent.. There aren't many really good places to eat on Greenwood Lake anymore I just wish this restaurant would add hours and expand their kitchen, (seems that sometimes they definitely need more help in the kitchen) Even on the weekends they have a limited staff. I guess they put all their energy into being a hotel? Doesn't matter I still love the place.”
