“So beautiful, especially the walk to the lighthouse (near Field 5). Go during early morning just after sunrise or late afternoon in off season to really experience the park, wildlife, the dunes and beach at their quiet best and in their most flattering light. It is fun in summer of course but crowded, off-season is when it shines as a nature park.”

“This place has special memories. My parents and I would go here. Walk a little. Sit and have lunch. Great place to go an relax. There us a place to fish. You can go walk in the water, no swimming. You can see Fire Island from here. It is a great place for locals. If you are visiting, stop by for a relaxing time.”

“Beautiful park and a great place to walk dogs. Some places were a bit overrun with geese and duck poo but that is to be expected. Had beautiful swans swimming in the pond and there is a little kids playground there. Also a great place to play Pokemon Go as there are lots of PokeStops and Gyms there.”

“Oh boy what a fun place to play around in the woods, just watch the steps on the trails for used condoms, people have too much fun during the woods here sometimes. Nice park and great baseball fields. Nice tennis and basketball courts too play with but sometimes weird people just hang out in the cars while being parked in the lot. Friends and I build the lean to in these woods. The picture is that”

“Fantastic views of the hudson and the hudson valley. Parking is adequate and safe. Vandalism and trash isn't too bad compared to other spots in the valley.”

“There's many trails in the area with varying difficulty. We walked the blue trail today from the recently updated parking lot to the ruins of the old Cornish Estate with three kids ages 5, 4 and 2. The hike was very nice and very doable with young kids. Just have to find things for them to do to keep them entertained until you reach the ruins. Just be aware that along the trail, there's a lot of poison ivy so definitely keep the kids on the trail.”

“An awesome place to take your kids or to do the workout trail. They also allow rentals for parties and they also do fundraisers and touch a truck day and car shows. On top of that everything was done with grants and it really is something awesome. With the state police across the street as well as constant monitoring it a great place to take your kids to burn off energy”

“They recently added a spray park and the kids have a blast playing there. The only problem is half of the teenage staff that works the spray park don't even do their job. Besides that its a great park.”
