“Great short hike that's easily accessible and not at all aggressive. You'll have some great views up top and abundant Flora and Fauna along the way. Make sure to view the map at the beginning as you'll run into numbers intersections after you descend from the first summit. There is a map post afterwards, but it's always best to know where you're going ahead of time. Things to look out for: -Ticks, don't be a hero - use bug spray. Good bug spray - My daughter has Lyme disease, you don't want it. -Ice in the winter - grab a cheapo pair of crampons, yaktrax, or micro spikes from a local or online retailer. It'll make the ice grip like dry rock for about $20. Hike all winter without risking cracking your head open.”

“The place at the pond is beautiful. From what I gathered you should check availability for RV sites in advance, but spots for tents are mostly available. Big shoutout to Jim for taking care of us when we got there in the evening and left the following morning. If he reads this, best regards from the 2 German Cadets and thank you again!”

“Unofficial dog park, gorgeous and spacious, waterfront at mouth of harbor. Leashes required but no one bothers until rangers show up which is rare but they will write $100th tickets, so always have leash in pocket. Great salt water swimming for playful doggies. Awesome.”

“Fantastic place to anchor your boat and go for a swim. It’s a nice respite from the Bay and a good place to relax. There are a few small sandy beach areas you can go to. If there is no wind- black flies can be an issue- but it’s just part of boating on the South Shore. Many local people call this cove “Garbage Cove”; but it was once the site of an old Coast Guard station before the inlet at the end of the Amity Cut was filled in and the marshland in the area was used to make Ocean Parkway. If my review was helpful please consider selecting the “like” button below. Thanks and safe and happy boating!”

There's also a lot of greeneries if you wanted to have a picnic in between and plenty of hikes to try out. Highly recommend this place to anyone trying to explore outdoor climbing and from NYC! PS: there's also a few camping places nearby by like Sabago Cabins for if you wanted to do a weekend trip.”

“I brought my great dane to D&H pet sitting a few weeks ago and i just really want to thank them for helping me out on such short notice. They really showed great enthusiasm and care for my dog and i can tell she really liked her stay with them because she did not want to leave! Lol. Their service and compassion for my pet was greatly appreciated and i will recommend choosing their services to any pet owner that really wants their own pet to be well taken care of in a time of need. Thanks again!!”
