“Not that big but a great place to bring your dog. There's astroturf in the dog run areas, a hose for water, and separate big and small dog sections. Usually some poop bags outside to pick up. Some benches for humans to sit on too.”

“This portion of Arden - Surebridge trail starts from Elk Pen parking lot and goes around Island Pond to Lemon Squeezer. Combine it with Appalachian Trail and you get a nice 8 mile loop hike. Green Pond Mountain with its views is one of the hike's highlights. Make sure to take Island Pond woods road to the north - it leads to Island Pond and nearby ruins of ranger hut.”

“Great pool for all. They have a little kiddies wading pool with a little fountain in the middle. The main pool is very large. There are two lanes reserved for swimming laps. They also have a diving board in a cordoned off section of the deep end. The best part is the water slide. It's not huge but it actually picks up a lot of speed towards the end. Lots of fun. There is a little canteen and plenty of shade and picnic tables. Overall this is an amazing little pool. If the kids get bored of swimming there is a playground right outside!”

“Very popular summer spot! Parking can be tricky but it's worth it to spend a nice summer day here with the family. Easy viewing of children near or in the water, that's what makes it so popular in part I think.”

“Great National Park to visit with your family and to hang out with others. Having Thanksgiving Dinner I saw once in a covered up dinning area next to a Fire Pit indoors. Great Barbequing areas all around the park! Nice place to come to and be out of the Big City Area! Good dog walking area. You'll go up and down steep well paved Hills here. That have Gorgeous well Wooded Sections of the park. All off of a large Reservoir that's good for Rowing and Fishing if anyone's up for that to do on their own as a Daily Personal Adventure!!????”

“Cuomo Field is mainly used as a soccer field. If you go there bring your own seating, beverages, and sun protection. There is a public toilet but don't expect much. There is no public seating or grandstand. Parking is in the street.”

“Always been one of my favorite destination within the easy reach. I have visited here during all seasons but Fall is the most beautiful time to visit Bear Mountain. The tower atop remains open through the summer but it closed by the start of fall. To best enjoy the fall one should park the car few miles down the slope and climb the peak walking the paved road. Sunset is mesmerizing here throughout the year! Best spot for a weekend picnic during the summer. The pet zoo at the foot of the hill is also enjoyable for the kids.”

“Great park, recently renovated with additional jungle gym. Swings, slides, picnic table. Often crowded with religious families but plenty of room. Nice rock path around the pond. It also has 2 off shoots that loop back around. A good place for walking, running, bringing the dog, bringing the family”

“Nice place. Good trails. Facility like water restrooms were good. Children play area, lots of tables, zoo museums, swimming pool all good. The lake is awesome. There is a big ground to play. Visited in summer and it’s full of greenery. Best state park.”

“I wish I had unlimited space to rave about Camp Monroe! My 12 year old son attends the camp and it is truly a magical place for him. He loves the sports. He gets so much positive feedback and words of encouragement. He feels like a winner in both the activities he participates in and the values he receives. It is at Camp Monroe where both his Judaic and moral compass gets reinforced if not elevated. He would spend all year at camp if he could. ”
