“1200 ft hill in Harriman State Park providing great views of hamlets west of Palisades Parkway. Located on Suffern - Bear Mountain trail about 7.5 miles from the trailhead on Rt 59 in Suffern. Much shorter approach is from Ladentown on Rt 202, but parking situation there is unclear.”

“Beautiful gardens, lovely ponds and the house is like stepping back in time. It's a great place to walk around and enjoy the trees and the gardens. Very pretty, very relaxing. It's $12 to park and you can walk around and stay as long as you like. They have tours or you can go on your own. Highly recommend!”

“I only come here to play softball but it is probably one of the best fields we play at. Not a bad hop in the outfield or infield for that matter. The grounds are extremely well kept and umps are solid.”

“Superb town park. Great for dogs (free poop bags provided by the town, pickup after your pet!) You'll find dead stuff and broken glass now and again, pick em up and dispose of at the one of many convenient trash/recycling bins (if I haven't done so already). ????????”

“Combination of south and east loop is a 4.3 mile hike. Trail is a nice up and down hike through a lush mix of trees. Lots of ferns and moss, small creeks and big rocks so hiking boots are recommended. If you take your dog off leash be aware of occasional coyotes.”

“Really nice park with well maintained trails. They also have a playground for little kids, and a small zoo with rescued birds like owls and hawks. There is a little island on the pond with a crafted wooden table and chairs, great place for self reflecting and meditation ????. And you can bring your dogs there, which is awesome, ours really loved the trails. And did I mention it's free? ????”

“Not a bad field to play baseball on. Dimensionally awkward as right field id like 250 feet from home plate, but the dugouts have tops on them so you cant get rained on or cooked in the sun during day games.”
