“I have been at the Manor on Main all week while working locally. I travel a lot and I treasure places like this this that are clean, comfortable and so homey. My bed is so comfortable, my shower huge, and the Manor is grande! Such a big step up from staying at a hotel. The host has been so gracious letting me use the kitchen. Oh and I enjoyed watching Netflix. Thank you so much for this memorable stay. I recommend the Manor wholeheartedly!”

“Jean was wonderful. This was our 1st time staying at a B and B. My wife and I were very satisfied with our 1st experience. Rooms are spacious and clean, bathrooms are clean, quite neighborhood, friendly host, we came and went when we pleased, and no one bothered us and breakfast was served at our request. “First of all, just let me say, to all the people giving this hotel bad reviews and few stars I think it's really arrogant of you to expect a Hilton experience for Motel 6 prices...you get what you pay for...that being said, I had a great stay here, and I was at the hotel 5 days! Yes, the common areas had some bleach stains on the carpet and some scuffs on the doors, this just means it is well used and being cleaned consistently. I own a property management and cleaning company so I am definitely the authority on these aspects. My room (203) was well stocked, very clean, and had no evidence of all the bugs other people claim to have seen. Everything worked in the room and the linens were fresh. The staff was amazing and the night manager, Andrea, deserves a raise for how far above and beyond she goes for a thankless job and a company who obviously doesn't recognize when they have a gold standard employee. If Andrea lived in Texas she would now be working for me, because quality help like her is impossible to find. The hotel was quiet even on the weekend and the pets that stayed were rule abiding as well. I was on the second floor of three but never heard anybody stomping around above me and no door slamming in the hallway. The hotel is in a great area set away from the road and surrounded by trees. I chose this place for the price as a package deal and I am glad I did. Next time I come back this is definitely where I want to be!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Steele Creek Marina and the owners Jill and Charles. I have been happily camping there for untold years but recently purchased a boat and decided to rent a wet slip at Steele Creek. Charles has a boat hauling business and he hauled my Larson Cabrio 330 from New Bern to Steele Creek Marina. He dismantled the radar for the haul and replaced it when he arrived. Everything went smoothly and it was very affordable. After the put-in, Charles luckily road with me to put her into my new slip. As my skills as a captain are VERY rusty, he saved the day as I was unable to get her into the slip. The next day I took her out to practice and now realize I need lessons on handling this large boat. Charles very kindly and patiently rescued me again. Jill and Charles are very professional and extremely helpful and kind. They have been very responsive with all communications. They are exceptionally knowledgeable about boats and are vertically integrated to meet most boat needs. Marie at the marina store knows her stuff and the marina and campgrounds are managed well by her. The marina and campgrounds are well kept and beautiful. I have, on multiple occasions, rented the houseboat that they have available. It is clean, comfortable, lovely and quite affordable. I have stayed in both the tent camping and RV camp areas and they are both beautiful and clean. Kevin and Tommy, the other staff that I met, were incredibly helpful and kind. I totally recommend Steele Creek Marina for any and all of your lakeside recreational endeavors!!”

“Bought a lot here in the early 90's. I'm happy with our gated community. We feel safe with our security staff and have the sound many children (of all ages) having fun. We have a Restaurant, pool, basketball court, playground, Pavilion, remote control race car track, putt putt, beach area for swimming in the lake, fishing, Bingo, a Clubhouse, Post office, grilling stations around the lake for family outtings and events throughout the year for everyone. It's my home away from home. My granddaughter is happy and we Love it. There are lots for sale if you're interested in checking us out. We welcome you.”

“Moved to Woodland Heights in the summer of 2020 and l wish we would have found it earlier. We stayed in a two bedroom two bath and it was spacious, well maintained (pretty much like new) and all the staff is great. Whenever something needed to be fixed the maintenance person came the same day and fixed the issue. All the ladies in the office are awesome and will always listen, even if it’s just about the cold weather :)”

“I had dinner with friends and my favorite aspect was the ambiance. The Christmas decorations and live piano music were fantastic. All menu items sounded good but due to dietary needs for healthy eating, I chose the special red grouper. I 😘 ved the spinach layered over the unique rice mixture with baby field peas. The tomato sauce was good but a little overpowering for my taste. Luckily it was in a beautiful display on the side so I was able to use just a little bit with the rice and spinach. The service was 5 stars!”

“First impression, lobby was clean and nice. It's a little out of the way if your goal is to stay off the main drag, but it wasn't bad. It's not super close to anything other than a gas station and a Dollar General, but it's not terribly far from Lexington, which has some good food options. We stayed here because it was one of the only options in Winston-Salem area that was under $300/not sold out. That being said, the comforter could use replacing (just old and had runs and wear). It was clean though, nothing prestine, but the room was fine. There were some stink bugs in the room near the window, but that was the only real issue, but sometimes that happens. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but not bad.”

“Blue Jay Point is a great place to hike and walk the trails. It's very family friendly as well. They have a wonderful environmental center and very knowledgeable staff. A great place for school groups to come and learn about the environment and how all kinds of species impact it. The whirligigs and waterbugs activity at the pond is great fun for young children. The overnight is a hidden treasure that can be used as long as you get the proper training from the center. This allow groups to stay overnight and experience the park after dark as well.”

“Huge recreational park at Hyco Lake in Person and Caswell Counties. There are many things you can do here. There are boat ramps, beach area for swimming, camping, hiking, etc. The area is clean and the Park Staff are friendly and helpful. It does cost to park and visit the area, as well as using the boat ramps. Great place to bring the family!”

“This campground is well maintained, clean, organized, relaxed, and friendly. During our brief stay, we availed ourselves of the pool, playground, mini golf course, showers, and launderette, while the dogs enjoyed the fenced-in dog area (there are three in total). The comfort station has multiple individual full bathrooms, giving a very homey feel to the facilities. Our family has traveled all around the country and this is a very nice place to stay.
