“We have been here two months and love the peace and quiet. Great access to the bay, private pier, private catch and release pond. Most everything one would need is pleasant drive to Kingsville, and if you need more alternatives and tourist attractions, Corpus Christi 50-60 minutes away. Great seafood is within walking distance, or you just make your own. Nice convenience store, bait shop, and gas .8 miles. Public boat launch, fishing pier, and park less than a mile away.”

“Gloria and Jacquie are both friendly and professional, caring for both the hearts and the camping needs of their guests. Daron and Tim are very conscientious and attentive to the needs of their guests and the care of the grounds, amenities, and facilities. When observing how well the team cares for each other and for their guests, it is understandable why this KOA has been honored the highest possible KOA award! We absolutely highly recommend this KOA as your short-term or longer-term home away from home!”

Commons Ford Ranch Metro Park

Address: 614 N Commons Ford Rd, Austin, TX 78733, USA

Park

“One of the great parks in the Austin area. It is fairly accessible, with a good set of clear trails. The lake is the main draw, but the restored prairie is special and you'll find peace, butterflies, and other wonders walking that trail. On a colder day when there aren't many motor boats it's also one of the quietest parks, which, in addition to the prairie restoration, makes it a refuge for birds and birders. I know it can get busy here though, and folks are not particularly careful about cleaning up after their dogs or keeping them on leash. But this does not sully the natural experience, which is sublime.”

Keneteso Park

Address: 1800 S Weaver St, Gainesville, TX 76240, USA

Park

“Good place if you want to walk your dog or step into nature while staying in town. It’s a shame that people litter😖 there is trash in the pond, creek, and all over the ground… even though there are perfectly good trash cans everywhere🤦‍♀️ I feel bad for the fish if there are any. Could really use some tlc from the community❣️ Please don’t litter folks🌱 and teach your kids to respect nature and pick up after themselves.”

Best and suitable place to meet as friends and family and spend time together. Creeks also flowing on the side of park and it's very close to the children play area so there is a possibility of insects so keep eye on children's always.”

Kreutzberg Canyon Natural Area

Address: 143 Mark Twain Dr, Boerne, TX 78006, USA

Park

“Nice park -- the maintenance just need to create some natural steps out of stone or steps cut into the dirt onto the huge almost-vertical hill you have to go down & up to get to the trail on the other side; A lot of people aren't able to get down this hill because of knee issues or without slipping down the dirt & falling & hurting themselves. USE THE TAX DOLLARS WE PAY TO RIVER MOUNTAIN TO CARVE/CREATE SOME NATURAL STEPS INTO THE STEEP HILL FOR SAFETY!”

Woods Park

Address: 1126 Postwood Dr, Denton, TX 76210, USA

Park

“Small little tucked away park with shade. The water fountains work and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a little neighborhood park. There is a basketball court (unsure if it’s regulation size but I don’t remember it being painted), a pavilion with 3 picnic tables, and a small building you can rent out from the Parks & Rec department. The building has one restroom, one mirrored wall, and comes equipped with several tables and chairs you can use. Will be great for a birthday party like we have planned!”

Blackland Farms RV Park

Rv park Campground Lodging Park

“What a wonderful place to stay! Clean, neat and tidy. Just how I like it :) We were lucky to get a spot. It's a beautiful RV park with friendly longhorns on the premises who don't mind having their picture taken :) The owner, Ken is super friendly, informative and so helpful. Sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. The weather is so nice (compared to Maine right now lol). Because we really needed to stay put for a bit to do some work (we're full-time RVers), we decided to stay until the end of the month! That's how much we like this RV park. So, our first Texas Christmas!”

Beard Park

Address: 310 E Eldorado Pkwy, Little Elm, TX 75068, USA

Park

“All three jungle gym areas worked well, clean. Little to no shade, but really really fun place for the kids. This was a great place for an impromptu picnic with the kids. Plenty of places to sit. The trees helped have a wonderful breeze. The walking trail was really nice and relatively clean. The cabin and pay office were very cool”

Palomino Park

Address: 1400 W Villaret Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78224, USA

Park

“The track is a good size all though the design is not the best. Once you get to the gym from the parking lot you just have to stop and turn around rather than just keep going. There is a nice new kids play set area for children, a soccer field where elementary football is played as well. Everything is visible and there are bleachers where those who aren't playing or exercising can sit. Overall a nice small park.”

Pheasant Rose RV park and resort

Address: 7660 Co Rd 314, Terrell, TX 75161, USA

Rv park Campground Lodging Park

“We only stayed for 1night so didn't use much of the facilities but this place was great. Easy checking & set up. So quiet and well kept. A sweet spot!!!!”

“I have the honor of being the 1st person to stay at this hidden gem. Even though it's still under construction and had no running water or electricity I don't remember the last time I had such a peaceful experience. I can almost see the vision that the owner has in mind. I will be making reservations for another stay”

Ridgepointe Park

Address: 4401 Standridge Dr, The Colony, TX 75056, USA

Park

“Nice gravel trail for running and gravel bikes. Loved the air pump and tools in the parking lot. The marsh views are really cool. We saw a lot of birds including blue jays, sparrows, hawks, cardinals, egrets, and mockingbirds. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is due to the massive amounts of dog feces on the edge of the trail. Yuck.”

Stone Oak Ranch RV Resort

Address: 25101 Ronald Reagan Blvd, Georgetown, TX 78633, USA

Rv park Campground Lodging Park

“We stopped here for few nights while visiting friends in the area. We are full-time RVers so we stay at a lot of parks and this is one of the better parks we've been in. Check in is a breeze. It is easy to get in and out of sites. The whole park is paved and sites have cement pads. They keep you well informed on weather warnings and also events going on in the park. The grounds and amenities are well taken care of. There is a nice fitness room and laundry facilities are new and offer the option of paying by phone or with quarters. We didn't use the showers but we love the bathrooms/showers, they are individual rooms which are a lot more secure than a multi-shower facility. Outside they have a nice pool area, kids playground, and pickle-ball courts. The dog run areas are exceptional. They are huge and have grass. We never run into anything as nice as theirs. I highly recommend staying in this park if you are in the area. The only negative is we like a little more nature but for a city area this park is amazing.”

Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center

Address: 24814 Hamilton Pool Rd, Round Mountain, TX 78663, USA

“We came here and did the guided tour. Our tour Lacey did a great job explaining the preserves. She genuinely appreciates nature and does a great job explaining different plants and animals to everyone there. We enjoyed our time and glad we were able to make it out here”
