“Nice campground with lots of shade trees, and plenty of room in between campsites so you don't feel crowded in! You can hear chimpanzees and lions from the campground! The drive through safari next door is definitely worth the visit. They provide rental cars so you don't have to take your own rig through.”

“So far one the best parks we have visited. The spaces are large, the park is clean, club house, wash room and showers are all clean and nice. The managers here have such a sweet spirit it is a pleasure to go to the office always greeted with a smile and friendly attitude as long as it’s the managers inside the office. Watching folks fish in the pond has given us a few laughs.”

“Regarding the review from Meredith Johnson, that is completely false information. I witnessed the occasion of you pushing your vehicle into the park, and heard the manager offer you assistance which you denied. I also know that you were never a registered guest. There are restroom and shower facilities for registered guests. I personally witnessed you speeding when coming into the park and putting the lives of the children that live and play here in danger which is why you were told by many registered guests to slow down. I also know that you are no longer allowed on the property due to not following the rules put in place to keep everyone safe. Also, there are NO guests that are in wheel chairs. The name is not deceiving as they allow RV camping as well as tent camping. At least they make sure that people who are guilty of drug and other suspicious activity do not stay at this campground! This is a very family oriented and quiet park and me and my children feel very safe and appreciate the job management does to keep it that way.”

“Very nice park, quiet and calm, in the middle of the forest. It is from 45 min from San Francisco counting the traffic, it is a long way but it is perfect if you plan to stay more than one night and considering that San Francisco streets are not good to move in trailers or motorhome as you have several ups and downs plus the traffic. Beautiful and Full hookups , perfect for stay 3 days and the staff is very kind.”

“Nothing but peace and quiet! Beautiful view of the river, great fishing, and the man who runs it was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Very basic campground but just the ticket for a nice get away! Very affordable! Property and buildings are older but very well kept.”

“Lake Anna is a great place to hangout with your family or friends. I went last year with my friends and it was amazing! You can swim, walk your dog, barbecue, play in the sand, walk along the lake, and much more. It’d be a sweet adventure for little kids as well because a playground is available. 10/10 recommended for anyone looking for some summer fun :)”

“It was so quiet and peaceful, there weren't many spots for shade, and the water was low . it still fun to go fishing for the day with family and have some peace of mind. They had tons of put houses all over and the park was very clean no trash or lines all over place. I'll be going back!”

“* Late review - Hiked in four miles with my 10year old during the dry spell we had. If there's no water flowing at the start of your hike, there's not likely any at your camp. Carry in everything you need and carry out everything you brought. Very mild walk in. Expect plenty of company on weekends but there are a wide range of spots to be found to pitch a tent away from the pack.”

“Great place to find peace in the woods find 1 w nature (yes even sober) otherwise some choose to judge & complain that the staff ain't doing mother nature's work for their upperclassmen who judge ever1 regardless cuz they pay to sit act like they care bout nature n tell their associates how they go camping n blablabla and stereotype the 1s that give them that opportunity to find real peace w nature/god/earth/being/wat was here/there B4 they own mama was birthed. U want a nice germ free bathrooms n " ur definition of normal ppl" go to a dam hotel. U want God's/or whom or whatever u see as better than u...or reality & free will go 2 hideaway....”

“I really like the ease of primitive camping at this site...only downside during labor day weekend were the bugs- lots of spiders chiggers, mosquitoes and flies????- but that's the Illinois river in the summer for you. To avoid bugs, come spring or fall. Kayaking was awesome- my boys loved it ????????????”
