“Cannot say enough good things about this place. What a sweet gem of a bed and breakfast. The entire place was cozy, welcoming and sparkling clean. Our bedroom was so sweet and full of personal touches that make your stay all the better. The yard and garden are absolutely beautiful as well. Brittany makes sure you have everything you need and you can tell that she truly cares about all of her guests. The breakfast and coffee that we had in the morning was delicious as well. “Found the hotel by happenstance - stopped for a lunch at Layla and fell in love with the property. We were staying at another hotel but promptly checked out and checked in at MacArthur Place instead! The property was incredibly beautiful with plenty of winding garden paths between buildings, lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery with swings and fire pits. The room was similarly beautiful and well decorated. Everything in the hotel feels very deliberate and thoughtful, with a perfect mix of luxury and comfort. Service was exceptional. Hands down one of our favorite parts about the visit here, will definitely come back!”

“What a lovely little Motel. Just like the old days. Bobby Patel took my phone reservation and was so honestly friendly. They didn't need a deposit but just asked if our plans changed to call. Like the old days when people trusted one another (like we all should, be trustworthy). The Motel was clean top to bottom, parking was easy, landscape well cared for and the room comfortable and clean. You can really tell that the manager and staff care about this little gem of a Motel. I would not hesitate to stay again. It is a great value and I hope it stays that way. You may wonder why they have a high rating. After you arrive you will understand. Thank you for your graciousness Bobby, we will return.”

“I have been a part of this park for over 10 years, my parents bought their first home here and absolutely loved the community. The office staff is easy to work with and the park is pretty quiet. I just wish there were fences on the property so it felt more like my home with a yard, this open space allows me to see the trashy yards behind me every time im outside.”

“Really enjoyed my stay. Off season and discounted as they are doing some remodeling of the restaurant I wasn't expecting much. What I got was exactly the opposite. The manager put forth every effort to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean and spacious in a 118 year old building way. I'm not sure what people complaining about room size were expecting. It's in the heart of a very nice shopping and entertainment district with everything I needed in short walking distance. Breakfast was delicious with a quiet porch to eat it outside. Can't recommend this place highly enough.”

“i love this place it's my favorite camp ground we been to yet! the owners are very nice. my daughter is 3 years old she loves them as well kid friendly. everyone here is nice and friendly also. quiet place in the middle of the country. they have 2 pools always kept nice. one of the pools my daughter can walk all the way around it she calls it the kitty pool which is nice for the little kids. have a laundry/shower house”

“We had a great time at Open Air. We stayed in the Lucille which was spacious enough for a couple but could probably fit 2-3 more kids/adults. The unit was well equipped and we found the beds to be firm but comfortable. The resort was quiet and had extra bathrooms and showers - we didn't try out the other amenities. Our only con was a few cleanliness issues in the unit mainly that the floors were dirty - so much that the bottom of husband's feet were black after walking on them. We would still stay again - just bring our swifter or wear house shoes.”

“Chris was very nice and helpful from the moment we got there. He assisted us with setting up since we were new to the RV world. They have a playground and huge area with grass to play ball. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The neighbors were very nice as well. Jeff informed us about all the amenities that would be added and the new things that were coming. We had a situation come up and Jeff worked with us to find a solution. They are very nice people, would definitely recommend.”

“Excellent experience. I strolled in and drug the owner out of bed around 4:30am last night. She never took a smile off of her face. 95 out of 100 times when you go to an independent motel like this.. the worker or owner lets you know that you irritated them by disrupting their sleep. It was amazing customer service. She even gave me a late checkout even when her room inventory was a bit clouded for the following night. Room was clean, surroundings were comfortable. A+++”

“I was very pleased with my stay last weekend at the Yorktown Beach Hotel. The location is great and view from my room and private balcony was amazing! Bed was comfy. The bathroom was nice, although the shower head is pretty low for me at 6'0 to stand underneath. The railing on the balcony could use attention....maybe replaced with something that doesn't obstruct the view as much. The manager and front desk ladies were very nice and helpful! Can't wait to go back again!”

“This has to be the most beautiful Victorian home I have ever seen. What a privilege it was to stay here. The Iron Horse Inn was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway or vacation The house is 115 years old and the property even older! Recently renovated back to its original state, it is absolutely breathtaking! With two stories, there are 2 just gorgeous suites plus at least 8 other wonderful rooms. The prices are beyond reasonable, especially when you consider how large the rooms are. The location is idyllic and the furnishings, food, pretty antiques and 400 year old oak trees made me feel as though I had been transported back to the early 1900s. (Only with all the comforts of home and the best air conditioning!) The inn keepers, Julie and Lenny were wonderful hosts! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment in this historic home. I will definitely return and cannot wait!”

“Probably the most exciting and relaxing vacation my husband and I have ever taken together. The weather was perfect, the facilities were clean and our bed was so comfortable. But honestly the most wonderful part of our experience was the people! We left with so many new friends, had some of the best conversations about real and important topics about body image and feeling free in your own skin.
