It's home to great horned owls, eastern screech owls, hawks, turkeys, flickers, various woodpeckers, dozens of songbird species, mallards, wood ducks, raccoons, skunks, rabbits, and foxes. Some days you may also see a bald eagle. Other folks have seen a woodchuck around. The trails wind through several sections of park with varying wild and maintained areas. It's just a weird, wild place in the middle of the suburbs.”

Visited late afternoon on Saturday, cooler weather, so only 3 other people there. Felt like I was looking out into the ocean with all the seagulls flying around. Park was clean and well maintained.”

I biked around the lake, what a joy. I also hiked Whipp's Ledges - a great workout. Definitely a place to re-visit as there are too many points of interest to take in, in one day.”
