Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

Address: 3400 Vine St, Cincinnati, OH 45220, USA

Zoo Park

“It was my first time visiting and for a smaller than space than Columbus it was a very enjoyable visit. Even with covid-19 going on and social distancing in place I felt I was able to enjoy my visit and see the park in its fullest. Animals seemed very happy and relaxed. Layout of park was a little daunting, but considering the size of the total area it was well sectioned.”

Alaska Zoo

Zoo

“I love the Anchorage Zoo! Especially Little Rock the Musk Ox. Hes the best! I'll come back every year to say hi to him! The Zoo is doing everything it can to keep people safe during the pandemic. When we went, on a Thursday, there were not many people there at all making it very easy to social distance!”

Arctic Ring of Life - Polar Bear & Seal

Address: 8450 W 10 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48067, USA

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Address: 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906, USA

Zoo

“I will rate this on the experience of the park. One note in general is that families were not all wearing their masks in the park, but with the mandate not being mandatory that is their choice. Our family loves wildlife. We have lived in Colorado for 3.5 years and this was our 1st time at the zoo. It is a true zoo that sits in the mountainside. You have an option to use a ski lift of sorts to go up and down the mountain, definitely don't recommend if you are afraid of heights. The food options were plentiful. Options of healthy and fun foods. Great experiences you can pay a low price for including feeding an elephant, which is my son's favorite animal and feeding my favorite, giraffes. They get up close and personal. We stayed for 3 hours and only experienced half the park. Definitely worth the trip.”

BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo

Address: 3601 Thomas Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70807, USA

Zoo

“Amazing experience. My fiance and i found a peacock feather and they let us keep it! We went around the bird enclosures and the cockatoo that was back there started talking to us. It was amazing. While everyone walked passed this true gem of an animal we had the amazing experience of connecting vocally with an animal. And it even told us goodbye when we were walking away from it. Broke our hearts. Would love to go back just to spark a friendship with that bird. Truly worth the money in itself”

Ship Creek Overlook Park

Address: 302 E Whitney Rd, Anchorage, AK 99501, USA

“It's a sweet little spot on the Ship Creek trail. You can't fish at the spot but it's fun to hangout and watch the birds catch fish. Lots of fish downstream by Ship Creek and you're allowed to fish there. You can see tons of fish here during the season June - August. There's also a small parking area.”

South Central Park

Address: 2400 Colorado Ave, Louisville, KY 40208, USA

Zoo

“Great walking tracks for the dogs. I have 2 little dogs. Very quiet, but of course it's early afternoon. It's very convenient for me, I live .2 miles away. Has small play area with swing set, slide, and climbing area. Benches are conveniently located in view of the playground. The park also has a shelter area with picnic tables which would be great for family picnics. They have also included public grills near the shelter for easy access. Note: Would make sure to bring aluminum foil for food safety. There is a few basketball courts for the older kids, but a couple times I was there it was hard to get into a game because it was packed and it was made clear that the court was taken and no outsiders were invited. Note: I'm not trying to be critical, I am just giving a honest review of how I see the park. I think could be more controlled, however I'm not sure how that would be handed. The walking track is .25 mile around once. They have just planted a lot of trees, as it seems they are trying to increase the green factor. Look, for a small neighborhood park its nice, it has always been clean, and it's convenient for South Enders. One downfall is no public restrooms. It is unusual because of the shelter to not have them, however a water fountain is available. I also have noticed a large sprinkler area during the summer months which seemed to be very well APPRECIATED on a 90+ day in the humidity of Louisville. So that's it, you know Louisville has such a great park system I think it can be easy to overlook the small neighborhood parks that are all over our neighborhoods. If you live in the South End its a nice place to walk the dogs, let the kids run off some energy, or just sit on a bench and watch the world go by. REMEMBER PLEASE KEEP OUR PARK CLEAN. DON'T LITTER! REMOVE ALL THOSE GIFTS OUR BELOVED CANINE FRIENDS LEAVE. ( No Waste Removal Bags Are Provided As They Are At Most Louisville Parks. THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THE PARK BEAUTIFUL... Looks like they have planted a ton of trees. That's a great thing. Please keep the park clean. We found this on our walk. Sad because there are trash receptacles all through the park.”

Alaskan Adventure Henry Doorly Zoo

“We absolutely love this splash pad ! There are areas for young children and older kids. The facilities to change into swim stuff are clean and while small, are completely fine for families. The staff patrol frequently to make sure the kids. Playin safely. Our 13 month old love the splash pad”

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere

Address: 3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211, USA

“The zoo has reopened. There are new policies in place to ensure everyone's safety. Reservations and face masks are required. There are one-way paths to provide easy flow and lessen congestion. It is well thought out and staff is around to help explain things and direct you. With the small crowd and organized experience it was my most enjoyable visit to date.”
