“Kate is extremely helpful and checks in with you when you have not gone in a week! The classes range from low intensity to high intensity and they make sure your positions are not wrong so it will not impact your joints or damage your body. Also it is very clean. I love clean facilities!”

“I've been training with Rachel for a little over a year, and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My back feels so much better and stronger, it used to bug me alot and I had thrown it out a few times before coming here. Rachel is great and will know just how far to push you and will never let workouts get dull.”

“Great space! The owner is fabulous. Super friendly and helpful. I love the variety of dance options and the open expertise level attitude of the classes. It was a bit tough to keep up the first time but with the inclusive environment I'll definitely be back!!”

“Took my son to try a class, and I was so impressed by my sons reaction to the class at 7 years old but more importantly how his coach (Robert scrappy Ortiz) trained him and put focus on him!! I will forever be grateful for this gym as it's opening up doors for my son to take his energies!!!”

“Really beautiful single tennis court. The YMCA just had it resurfaced, and it is better than ever. Located just next to Main Post, you can catch a bit of a Bay view while you play, which is gorgeous. The court also has nice equipment to help your training - including a couple of ball machines (although only one seemed to work when we tried), some cones etc. There's also (paid) parking available right next to the court.”
Address: Sand Ladder, San Francisco, CA 94129, USA
“The Sand Ladder is a relatively steep hike through sand down to the beautiful beach below. It is gorgeous with views of the Pacific the whole way down. Be aware, however, that you will probably need to hike back up, so plan accordingly as it is made almost entirely of sand lined with wooden pillars and thick wire. Some of the wooden "steps" are loose and easily dislodged as well. So tread carefully. Otherwise, it was a beautiful hike down to the beach with spectacular views of the ocean, Golden Gate Bridge, and surrounding area. Lastly, I would like to warn that it is a nude beach, although unmarked, especially towards the northern end. So be aware of this when planning your hike. Otherwise, it was wonderful and completely worth the hike! (There is limited parking at the top as well.)”

“Great challenging classes and inspirational instructors. We had Alan, Georgia and K-lo and they each were excellent. The 3 classes for $30 is a really good deal. We did mostly the spin classes and are now spoiled. They have yoga and strength classes also.”

“I LOVE the Self Made Chino Hills Facility. Coming from another gym it was a breathe of fresh air walking into Self Made and everyone is extremely welcoming as well. The facility is VERY clean, kept up, and well done. It’s also a perk that the showers are really nice too! I love stepping into the gym every day and I love being apart of the Self Made Chino Hills family.”

“This is a wonderful place to learn correct boxing technique, form & strategy without the pressure of actually stepping into the ring. The owner, Carlos, is an ex-boxer who not only loves the sport but really knows his stuff. Do you want to learn how to fight and get in the best shape of your life doing it? If you do, look no further this is the place for you.”

“The banya is great. The saunas are really hot, the steam room is really steamy, and they have a nice restaurant with delicious Russian food and snacks. They also have a deck with a nice view of the city. This is my go to place for sauna. They give you a robe, 2 big towels and slippers - that’s very convenient. You don’t need to bring anything. Except a sauna hat! They rent them for $3 or sell for $18. You can get one at Amazon for $10. It’s helpful, because supposedly it protects your hair from the heat. The only downside is that it’s pricey. The entrance costs $47 and their restaurant prices are quite steep too.”

“Great location and gym layout. Overall up to date equipment. Men's locker rooms got sink/urinal upgrades in the last year or so. I hope they'll get to updating the showers and lockers soon. Wifi is very unreliable.”
