“Remote and primitive campsite, well-shaded and spacious. Popular during hunting season, but off- season you will probably have this to yourself. No electric, no water, and no bathrooms. Free but requires registration with South Florida Water Management District.”

“This campsite took forever to hike out to... though we didn't get on the trail until after dark. But it was a beautiful hike (with the exception of the muddy/marshy areas) and the campsite itself was pristine! All of the surrounding terrains seemed to converge right at this spot. The Withlacoochee River is a short little hike (approx. 7 min walk) down the trail from this campsite, so water isn't a problem. It is tannic water, due to the cypress trees, and it has a little weird aftertaste to it... so you might want to bring a little water flavoring (like Mio or Propel) with your water filter. Overall, it's a great place to camp and free to reserve the site on the Southwest Florida Water Management District website!”

“I was greeted by the people who I assume were managers at the park when i arrived. They were very helpful and explained the place and the area for touring around. The best part was when Barb and John stopped by to see if we along with others were comfortable and were clear that the park was concerned about everyone's comfort and were told to bring any concerns to their attention. I came in driving a rented convertible and Barb come to me to ask that i please be aware that music is much louder outside that normal but in a way that expressed concern for others rather than in a mean or nasty way. Those are good people if you ask me. Its a big deal when people actually care about the whole rather than just a few. Good experience, and thank you.”

“I never stayed here but had to go check them out every year for my job to do price comparison. They are a nice park very large right across from the old Silver Springs attraction but a little expensive and they are a 55 plus but just asked about the 80/20 if you have kids or under 55 they have to let you stay. Try to get a spot not so close to at Rd 40 or you will hear cats all night long.”

The Florida Trail runs by the edge of the campground, there is a bat house there also with an interpretive sign which is interesting also. There is also free parking for the Florida Trail at the trailhead just outside of the entrance to the campground.”

“Took an airboat tour here. First time on an airboat and it was great! Kevin was our driver/guide and he was fantastic, he knew exactly where to go to find some gators and other animals. We saw a lot of bald eagles (even some of their nests), birds of all sorts, gators (large and small), bison, deer, turkeys, and a turtle. We did the early tour (9:30) because that's what they recommended when we called. A little tip though, even if it feels warm out, it was a little chilly on the water when the boat was moving.”

“I had my shower changed out. I have gotten several estimates and Reborn had the best price. I loved the solution to the new shower. I was scheduled within 2 weeks and I can say the workmen were very competent and professional. They arrived on time and completed within one day. That in its self was worth the cost. Guillermo M. and Myles worked well together and with me. I would use them again if needed. Thank you for a great experience”

“This is a tropical paradise snuggled within a magical Forrest. Swim in the luxurious springs with a gorgeous emerald shimmer. It could be a dream but it isn't. Grill up some tasty goodies on their grills then take an adventure on the trail that takes you to see the awe-inspiring boiling sand springs. It's a beautiful place for family to share amazing memories.”

“Beautiful RV resort and much nicer that the other places around the rim of Lake O. Angela provides very accommodating, responsive and friendly customer service for a first time RV-er. Grounds were nice with plenty of room for the kids to play, lay in the hammocks and a fenced dog area for the pooch to run. Sites were clean, level and had plenty of room. Just stayed one night with the family to test out the new RV but will be back for a longer stay in the future.”
