“Entrance to Black Rock Park is from Quaker Bridge road. There is there a parking lot for at least 30 cars. The park is alongside the Croton River. There is a bridge across the river there but it is underwater when there is a lot of water in the river. There is also a picnic area with chairs and picnic table next to the water. Down stream there is a fenced dog park too. The dog park has a very large playing area with lots of space for dogs to run around. Most of the park area is shaded and near the water which is very nice. In this area the Croton River is relatively wide. Just below the park there is a dam that keeps more water in the park area, but allows the water to flow down stream to Silver Lake. Silver Lake is Croton's swimming area, as sadly swimming and boating is currently not allowed in Black Rock Park. Thus I gave this really nice park only 4 starts, should be 5 for it's beauty. With swimming and small boats would be 6 stars.”

“Clean soft sand private beach! Used to run this beach every morning. The sunrises and sunsets are incredible! Amazing beach to be enjoyed by residents and their guests with a tag. Most town employees know the residents after a few trips. It saddens me to see a bad review over a legit policy trying to be turned into something it's not.”

“Very clean park, benches in great shape. Bathroom facilities clean. Parking tight. Need permit for parties and need to be town resident. They do a great job keep non residents out.”

“Gorgeous. Lovely park with baseball fields, mini golf, boat marina, hockey rink (no ice), gated dog park and toddler play ground areas. Walk, bike and skating paths on both sides of park. Near by water slide and pool area. Lots of wild life and at night lots of fire flies. Really beautiful area. Great for bike family bike rides or an after dinner walk.”

“Beautiful trails with so many different route options! Easy access from the Tuxedo train station. Worthwhile to get a map (there’s a booth at the farmer’s market every Saturday) since there are so many different trails that crisscross, though they are pretty well marked. Make sure to bring in enough water because the water sources are not always reliable. Enjoy your hike!”

“This park is a really nice place to bring the whole family. My dog loved this place. It's clean and most of the people visiting the park seemed very friendly. Just remember to keep your dog on a leash here as there are many distractions.”

“This is the entrance to a very beautiful Preserve, it has free parking, expect to spend a good part of your day if your planning to hunt for the ruins because they are well hidden and near the back end of the Preserve, have fun. If you know your lost, listen for highway traffic on 106, new hikers tend to get spun around in this Preserve.”
