“This bike shop is fabulous. The owners are very knowledgeable, experienced, and super nice. Prices were affordable and reasonable. They helped me with emergency repairs over the weekend when I only had a few days in town during a year-long camping trip. I am so appreciative for their help so I can keep exploring trails on my bike as I travel!”

“I've passed this store a few times and recently decided to stop in. I'm happy that I did! Besides being pleasantly surprised by the outdoor gear selection (especially the fly-fishing), I felt very welcome by the friendly people working there ( I assume it's the owners?). I was greeted immediately and had a pleasant conversation about the store selection and fly fishing. The owner also told me that they offer occasional Fly-Fishing 101 classes for FREE and other events in and around the region. Fly-fishing can be intimidating at first, so if you're a person that is looking to get into it, or if you're just looking for a great, friendly, local outdoor business, I would highly recommend stopping by and having a conversation with the people here. I know I'll be back again for sure.”

“Purchased a Giant Contend AR from this place in July and drove from Central Jersey. Was such a personal and pleasant experience purchasing a bike from Effy. He answered the stupidest of questions patiently. Being an accomplished rider himself one can get some good riding tips too. The accessories in this shop may seem pricey but make no mistake, only the best is stocked there. If you are not local they are willing to work with you to ensure quick service. I have not bothered to look for a local bike shop for this reason. Highly recommend this place for anyone who want to take up biking seriously.”

“I went in to Demonns Bike Shop close to closing time unsure if they even had what I needed. I was greeted immediately and put at ease with the way the employee seemed to know what I needed before I could even pull the bike tire out of my backpack. He had the work that took me 30 minutes to do done before I could pull the payment out of my wallet. To top it all off, the whole thing was well below what I thought it would cost. The guys running the place also treated me more like a friend than a customer, which I appreciated as much as anything else. The next time I need anything at all for a bicycle, this will be the only place I'll need to go. I highly recommend Demonns to anyone looking for anything bike related!”

“Joe, the owner, and Tyler, the tech are fantastic. I took my bike in due to some issues I were having and have a great conversation regarding whether to repair or trade in. After talking about the options, Joe recommended we repair the bike. He could have pushed me towards a new bike but he recommended options that would make my bike a better fit for me (risers to make my ride more comfortable). It is great to have a shop so close to my house that truly cares about the customer. I will always bring my bike here for any needs I have.”

“My first experience with Ballwin Cycles and I'd just say "This is what customer service is supposed to be". Outstanding and I'll definitely use them from now on. I just needed a simple tube replaced on my back tire. I walked in and within 5 minutes they replaced it and had me out the door.”

“What a great purchasing experience thanks to the owner, Reilly who took his time showing us all the different bikes and explaining everything in detail and adjusted each bike that i test rode to fit me specifically. Has a large selection to choose from. My 1st electric bike and 1st bike in probably 40 years, like they say once you learn to ride a bike, you never forget. Thanks to Reilly for a grest experience, highly recommend. Everyone there was helpful and pleasant and friendly, very accommodating.”

“Such a great staff and excellent support. Mike the owner really made the buying experience comfortable when I bought two Mountain Ebikes. He really goes the distance to make sure the purchase it right for you. He even made himself available by cell for any questions after the purchase. A great resource to have when riding Truckee. I highly recommend them.”

“I went to the Novi location today and the two young lady cashiers were incredibly helpful. I bought a baseball mitt, a softball mitt, an umbrella, and a Mountain Dew (20 oz.) and a Propel (kiwi strawberry) for my daughter. The umbrella did not have a tag on it so there was some concern about how much it cost. I realized that I had not actually opened the umbrella to see if the tag was caught up inside the umbrella (though I had removed the cover but did not find the tag directly under the cover). I mentioned to the cashiers that I had not actually opened the umbrella to check for the tag. One of the cashiers did not want to open the umbrella, so I offered to go back to the rack and check other umbrellas by opening them. The other cashier kindly said that there was no need to do that but she would figure it out without having to open other umbrellas. She looked up the price of the umbrella on some electronic device and was able to find it that way (the drinks rang up just fine, and so did the mitts). She kindly verified the perceived price of one of the mitts. Once all of the confusion about the umbrella price was cleared up, the cashier also explained some useful information about the rewards program and a little about a credit card, and some differences therein. She seemed very knowledgeable about the reward program and her expertise really shined through. Very nice understanding of the program, ladies. Nice job.”

“Thought my stuck brake caliper was shot, but Scott told me to try lubricating it, which fixed it! He could have played on my ignorance and tried to sell an expensive caliper. No sale, but another 5 star review! He also has some used parts to sell for cheaper than new.”

“I wanted to shout out Gil and the service team at Mike's Bikes. I have a Rondo gravel bike and the back rim cracked in two places under warranty. While Rondo is dragging their feet on a replacement or credit after two weeks with no update, Gil lent me a wheel so I could get back on the road and trails while we wait for Rondo to respond. I thought that was pretty cool.”

“This is a quality e-bike, and a quality company! My Model X is rode hard daily, and the quality components withstand the rigor. The company has been excellent to provide parts and advice to keep me in the road...can't say enough about EBC!”

“A store dedicated to repairing Arrow eBikes, they are relatively friendly, and they also sell the bikes. However they don't let you test ride bikes, and they don't give any 'guarantees' or any kind of warranty on the bikes. Which makes sense; they're a repair shop, not a bike selling shop; they're there because some people understand what the product is and purchase it because its not easy to source. The bikes are great products and they are friggen tanks. Some people have been using their bikes for multiple years (me included) and thanks to this shop they still run like new.”

“Good location, good selection, but taking a star off because the employees here have never been friendly. No smiles, no greeting... maybe they're under poor management. Would love to see that improved because it makes a huge difference to whether I frequent a place or not. They didn't seem to have a lot of shoe stock, but they clothing selection is great.”

“Been to Vecchio's four times now and have sent a couple folks there as well. 100% satisfaction every visit! All of my interactions have been with Layne - what a great guy and absolute master mechanic. Somehow I had it in my head that Vecchio's was extremely high-priced...well I'll tell you, they are definitely a high-end shop as far as skills and offerings, but I have been extremely pleased with their very reasonable rates for the quality they deliver.”

“Amazing! This is why shopping local is wonderful. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the owners are wonderful. They were so helpful, not pushy, answered all our questions and were super fair on the trade in. Will 100% be back for any other bike needs in the future.”

“Spent 2 1/2 hours there on a Sunday afternoon with Greg. He answered every question my wife and I had to ask. He demonstrated all the bikes features and explained the various differences in bike models, modes, batteries and accessories. Very knowledgeable on the Pedego line and very easy to deal with. He was able to point out the pros and cons for each model depending on our riding likes and dislikes. Would highly recommend- very good experience!”

“Highly recommend Blue Zone Sports. They are a family owned business that is going against the large national brands like REI. The service that Blue Zone provies is tier 1 and they really know how to treat customers well. Their prices are very reasonable and I can often find the specific products I am looking for at Blue Zone. They have proven themselves to be a great addition to our Truckee community! Thank you Blue Zone.”

“Super fun tour with JR! As a first time mountain biker, the electric mountain bikes were very easy to ride, and I loved the pedal assist. A 1500 feet elevation change felt nearly flat. He was a thoughtful and accommodating guide. Highly recommend the bike tour!”
