“Beautiful track to walk; especially if you happen to be in Downtown Albany. Snow is plowed in the winter and the path is salted. Plenty of place to park you vehicle 🚗. Scenic walk along the Hudson River. You can also rent a kayak from DEC in the summer.”

“This was an amazing place to visit, glad they made this into a park instead of building on it or destroying it for the sake of archeology. These mounds should be saved as a sacred place. The view from the top is amazing! If you have trouble walking or breathing like I do, just take your time, I had to stop like 4 or 5 times to get there but it was worth it.”

“Miller Woods is a beautiful little spot that I have very fond memories of from my childhood. Good year round for a short nature walk, but the absolute best time is in Autumn. Be sure to check it out when the trees are at peak color! It's very small, so no need to put on your hiking boots or pack any gear. Good spot to meditate in nature, learn about forests, or take pictures of birds and other woodland creatures. "Take only pictures, leave only footprints."”

“Nature park… A park filled to the brim with beauty and nature. Home to a .15 mile trail going through the park. The park is somewhere to get a breath of fresh air, deer watch, or take a walk. With a couple benches placed in the park, it allows one to sit down and read a book listening to the sounds of nature. Nature Park is a hidden treasure of Herron Island that I recommend checking out.”

“I’ve been wanting to take the kids here forever and finally found some time. The kids loved exploring and playing with the bamboo. The grass needs a good bush hogging but the more natural the better. Not great for strollers that have small wheels.”

“Love the park. There is many things you can do here. Good place to walk your dog or have a run. There is also baseball, football, soccer, tennis court, dogpark, restaurants, basket and much more. We usually walk here and feed the squirrels that are very friendly. The park is rich with animals and feeding the birds is fun :). Great place for family or picknick. Well recommended”

“Location of our campsite was little far from the crowd. Which we like, but our parking spot was flooded, so we were not able to park in our site spot. Short distance walk to our campsite. Loved the view, but they definitely can trims some hedges and trees to get better view of the lake. Overall the experience camping at Jackson lake was great! Room for our tent, right by the lakeside. Restrooms were decent. Will definitely come back to camp longer and explore the areas.”

“This is such a cool park to take a hike through. It was super windy today but it meant the trail was empty for the most part. I liked the elevation and how the trail went across the rim. The photos don’t do it justice. I could see this trail being too difficult I. The winter time with snow but great in spring and fall for the foliage or trees.”

“This is a really nice family owned garden center with lots of product options and full service. We found the owners to be very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly with good prices. We will use them again on our next project.”

“Beautiful place! 🤔 When I read botanical Gardens, I picture a manicured landscape/garden/outdoor area. This is very much just wild outdoor park, it doesn't seem maintained. Howerver we were just looking for some small park hike to enjoy some nature, and this was perfect. It does look a little scary when you first get there but just keep going because it was beautiful and relaxing. We spotted lots of birds two 🦌 and so much beautiful green. Have fun!”

“Nice neighborhood park with a baseball field, children's play area, and walking trails, large mowed grassy areas, and plenty of trees. It's bordered by back yards and woods. There are paths into the woods which will beckon the more adventurous children, reminding me fondly of the many childhood hours I spent playing in the woods.”

“Our absolute favorite place to visit. Doesn’t feel as crowded as San Diego Zoo since it’s much bigger. Many animals to see and explore. Great trails for walks with amazing views. If you are local, membership purchase is definitely worth it. Plus, with every visit you are helping animals! Have fun!”

“Chris gave my family an awesome impromptu guided tour of the facility and overview of the happenings in and around the LDWF!!! Chris also gave us a great class on how meticulous the specimens are prepared and the detailed information they retrieve and use to plan the protection of local species around Southern Louisiana!!! Great job Chris and the LDWF!!!”

“I dropped off 2 homeless people here, after I took them to breakfast...they have a 7 day stay in a motel. Pray for the homeless those addicted to drugs and alcohol. There are services provided to assist them with job search and healthcare. Pray for the cycle of abuse to be broken. Jesus is the answer to freedom. He will change those who are tired of saying I am sorry to I am stopping my abuse. Sympathy is not empathy those who walk in freedom understand the difference.”

“Beautiful place. I visited August 2021; the trails were too overgrown to hike in very far. The groundwater-fed prairie here was more lush than other places I’ve been this season that have been affected by the drought.”

“Nice, quiet park. Been here several times, usually only 1 or 2 people with their kids. Lots of open space and trees if you have dogs. I wouldn't recommend letting off leash as it's not fenced and there is a somewhat busy street on one side. It's right next to a school. 1 tree parking lot nobody seems to ever park under, so good for napping! They have individual bathrooms which are nice and clean. Sign outside says they auto lock after 7pm.”
