“We were long term residents, and we really enjoyed our time at Mockingbird Hill. The staff are all so nice and they have great communication. They are great about giving notices that may effect the residents in any way. We have two small children and a dog and they were always very accommodating and understanding. At one point during our stay, we had a difficult neighbor who made noise complaints on us, and they allowed us to move to another part of the park on pretty short notice. They were all so sweet and we will miss them! This is a clean and we kept park in a super convenient location, definitely worth a visit!”

On the other side, it's deep and can do kayaking, boating etc. The day we went, was very windy. Has restroom and enough parking spot. Entrance fee was $15/vehicle. I liked this place very much.”

Multiple baseball fields, batting cages, 2 basketball courts, sand volleyball court, a nice size fishing pond, deck hockey, walking trail that wraps around the perimeter of the park, 2 dog parks ( 1 for big dog's and 1 for little dog's) and a skateboard park. Also, they have regular playground equipment if you just want to swing. They have multiple pavilions for picnics. Bocce ball and I may be forgetting something. I'll take pictures next time I go”

“Moved in at the beginning of August! Most (if not all) of us here are long term campers. The campground has new owners, and they're making a lot of necessary changes. We now have dog poop bags and bins, lights in important areas, the driveways are freshly lined with gravel, and the owners are extremely friendly and attentive to the needs of the residents. The campground vibe overall is quiet and calm. Most families (if not all) do not have children with them. There's a lot of talk about what's to come for Cotton Patch, so I'm excited to stick around for a while.”

Myakka River State Park Big Flats Campground

Address: Myakka State Park Rd, Sarasota, FL 34240, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Camped at Big Flats with my family the weekend of April 15th. The campsite is very nice with a fair amount of shade in the spots. The sites are a little small compared to other state parks, but not tiny. They are trying to grow new foliage between the sites and it was pretty clear there was a lot of damage to the trees from Hurricane Ian in 2022. The host, Peter, was friendly and helpful. Other campers were respectful of the quiet time. Bathrooms were dated but very clean. I would stay here again but probably wait until the weather is cooler as it was very hot in the day and there is no water area like a lake or spring to cool off. The Myakka Lake is FILLED with gators so there is no swimming. Incredible sunsets from just down the street over Big Flat Marsh where we saw deer, turkey and gators.”

Harry Myers Park

Address: 815 E Washington St, Rockwall, TX 75087, USA

Park

“The experience at Harry Myers park was absolutely amazing. The premises were impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. My little two-year-old was over the moon with excitement when we visited the splash pad and playground - the perfect spots for her to have some fun. The park's picturesque surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful, and we even took a stroll around the pond to enjoy the scenery. The park-goers, including the residents, were very cordial and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. I highly recommend visiting Harry Myers park with your family for a day full of fun in the sun!”

Sara Babb Park

“It was a fun little park. My kids are getting older so they got bored fast. Might go back to visit the pool.”

Peace River Hammock

Address: Mt Pisgah Rd, Fort Meade, FL 33841, USA

Park

“Trail is in as good as expected conditions. River flooding leaves debris in its wake, you can observe. the high water marks on trees. I like to call it real world Florida. Unlike state parks where grass is manicured, trails are paved, with signs for all the do's and don'ts. Wildlife is plentiful I have saw deer, hogs, song birds, birds of prey. Grandson loves the fishing catfish and panfish also bass and snook. We love it well maybe not the blood sucking flying insects.”

Wintercrest Park

Address: 10300 Woodcrest Dr NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433, USA

Park Local government office

“We visited the sledding hill with 3 1st grade boys. They had fun and we left with no tears. We enjoyed sledding on the big hill. Better parking is off Woodcrest.”
