Carlson Park

Address: Brick, 4233 Motor Ave, Culver City, CA 90232, USA

Park

“I walk dogs around Carlson Park 5 days a week. It is always well kept, hosting various groups of people, and peaceful. It states that it is not dog friendly (of course, all need to be on a leash), but you'll see many owners walking around with their leashed pups. A very big plus is the clean park restroom. Seriously, these are the cleanest park bathrooms you'll ever find. This is especially helpful for someone who is always on the go and may need to make a pitstop!”

Molino Basin Campground

Address: Catalina Hwy, Tucson, AZ 85749, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“Big Beautiful campground that’s no longer maintained. Grass over grown weeds high and more. If you go during monsoon season you’ll be lucky to find the water flowing down the rocks onto the road. Nice place to make a few s’mores or cook a few hot dogs on one of the many grills. Just beware that the weeds are a lil high and grass to your ankles so go prepared. Overall it’s a good place to get in touch with nature while getting away from the city.”

Sandler Summit Park Office 1 Ltd

“Great toddler park but stomach bug afoot.”

North Hydro Park

Address: 2599 Bridge Rd, Ypsilanti Charter Twp, MI 48198, USA

Park

“Nice, quiet place. Good for family picnic. It is clean, has bathrooms and small shelter area, benches/ tables and grills that are well spread out and light flowing river. There's also a small Dam. You'll find quite a few people fishing there because of park's calm environment. If you're into photography, it is somewhat scenic and it has good variety of birds. Overall a good park to visit if you live 20-25 away. There are also 4 other parks close by, within 5-10 mins.”

Roger Sherman Baldwin Park

Address: 100 Arch St, Greenwich, CT 06830, USA

Park

“Nice park by the train station in Greenwich. The municipal parking lot has plenty of space, even during large events. Annual events using the space include the Greenwich Concurs D’ Elegance and the Dog Festival. There’s only one choice for food here, the Delamar hotel, which is pretty pricey. It’s several blocks walking to other food on Greenwich Ave.”

Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel

Address: 1701 Semper Fidelis Wy, Triangle, VA 22172, USA

Park

“Peaceful location, with paved parking lot used by visitors for services, events, and touring. Restrooms are located in the building next to the parking lot. Trails and an overlook of the main museum building can be found near the LTG Puller Memorial.”

Quincy Park Rink

Address: 10601 Quincy Blvd NE, Blaine, MN 55434, USA

Park

“Most of the rinks in the area have side walls, making them ideal for hockey. This is a flat part of the park which happens to freeze well enough that it can be cleared to make an ice rink. It's not fancy, but it's effective. There's also a warning house. It's not the smoothest ice, so probably not ideal for beginners”

Albany Pine Bush Preserve

Address: 195 New Karner Rd #1, Albany, NY 12205, USA

Park

“Free admission and free parking. Several shorter walking trails (1 mile up to 7 miles if you combine several) that are extremely well marked. Easy to get to. Great way to get out into nature for a couple of hours.”

Borrego Palm Canyon Trailhead & Parking

Address: Unnamed Road, Borrego Springs, CA 92004, USA

Park

“Great hike! Really neat going deep into the canyon. The geology is more complex than initially thought or seems. Really cool. The alternative route is really special definitely recommend taking that route on way back. We Love this park it always amazes us.”

Wana B Park

Address: 355 Ceylon Rd, Carmichaels, PA 15320, USA

Park

“Great park with a nice walking path and two playgrounds. There are fields for sporting activities, but I take my kids for the playgrounds. There is one that is more for toddlers and another one that has some bigger slides and climbing options for some more advanced kids. The bathrooms are not open year round so if you go in the off season that is difficult.”

Kosciuszko Park

Address: 200 Elmcroft Rd, Stamford, CT 06902, USA

“First time at this park. I went there looking for the waterfront. The water view is beautiful. It's a nice small park which also has a walking trail.”

Boxwell Scout Reservation

Address: 1265 Creighton Ln, Lebanon, TN 37087, USA

“My kids had a great time at summer camp. They liked all the adventure Boxwell offered: watersports, zip lines, climbing tower, archery range, and so many more activities. They have events at all times of the year, not just summer, so I would consider checking it out for your Troop or Pack.”

Oak Hollow Campground

Address: 3415 N Centennial St, High Point, NC 27265, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“I enjoyed it. Few things: They have wooded areas as well as what I call the parking lot. We were in the "parking lot" we had space to pull everything out but we also were woken up a few times by the neighbors as they were out walking around in the gravel. The sites in the wooded area you must pay attention to the map when choosing sites. Some sites were only 30 amps, some sites shared water, etc etc. The tent sites all were on individual risers. There's piers you can fish. I saw 2 playgrounds There is a bigger playground at the marina which is next to the campground . Overall I will call There again. We paid $45 a night. No late night check in but we knew that in advance and planned accordingly.”

Elmdale Park

Blackburn State Park

Address: 1291 Cemetery Rd, Thurman, IA 51654, USA

Old Mill Canoe Rental's Blue River Retreat

“My husband and I have been full-timers here for the last 2+ years and we love living here. We looked at a dozen places from Pleasanton to San Antonio to New Braunfels and we definitely picked the right spot. I’m told that Nancy opened the park about five years ago and there are some who have been here from the beginning and I love that about the place. You just won’t want to leave unless you have to. Nancy also offers several spots for those traveling through for only days or weeks. If you appreciate the outdoors and peace and quiet, this is your place. Last night I fell asleep to the owls communicating. There is a family of foxes that make appearances from time to time and a roadrunner that lives around here. Nancy has cattle in the pasture that roam nearby. My bird feeders are overwhelmed year round and it’s hard to keep up with the hummingbirds from April to October. Who needs amenities when you have nature? For exercise we walk the long driveway, the park roads, or the pasture. We are only 25 minutes from San Antonio and grateful to be living out of the city, yet close enough to go when needed. You won’t find trashy trailers here or loud partiers. There are some rules and that too is why we love it. I noticed there weren’t any updated posts and I hope this helps others to consider this piece of paradise. PS…I have no shortage of beautiful sunset pics but these are my favorites.”

Kenstock Park

Address: 2521 Peritan Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454, USA

“My daughter loves it but wish there were less loud kids.”

Sanchez Farm Open Space

Address: 1180 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105, USA

Park

“Beautiful open space, peaceful. The pond had cute little frogs and the sounds of birds chirping. Our dogs had a blast!”

Community Athletic Fields

Address: E Devon Ave, Itasca, IL 60143, USA

Park

“I love playing softball here. The facilities and very nice. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the parking. If there are a lot of games going on at once you have to park uber far away from the fields. And the speed bumps in the parking lot are so rough too!”

Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail - Big Bend Area

Address: 1337 Merriman Rd, Akron, OH 44313, USA

Park

“What a lovey little ride in the neighborhood. Ride as long or short as your heart desires. Took the Momentum Pakaway on its maiden ride and it was a great 10 miles. The trail has alternating sun and shade, water fountains, little bathrooms, and relaxation spots. What more can you ask for?!”
