“Stayed here in September and rented a cabin for two nights. Loved the space and the cleanliness! My favorite part was walking the trails on the grounds and enjoying the outdoor space with the deck and the hammocks. Staff are really nice and helpful and great location within Canyon Lake! Can’t wait to book trip soon.”

“This was a great outing. The Safari wagon takes you up close and personal to giraffes and camels. Got some great photographs feeding the giraffes. Their pet camel is a big puppy dog who wants to be petted on the nose. Highly recommend the vehicle tour. $119 per person.”

““This is America”, which is obviously a very multi-faceted concept and sometimes over idealized, but sometimes it’s nice to step out of your home and remember what community feels like.”

“This location has a boat ramp and a large boulder dam. Looked like good fishing, didn't get a bite though. Water is deep going south and you need a boat. Going north you can wade quite far along the river.”

“Beautiful grounds. Immaculately kept. This cemetery is well marked, very well maintained and the mosuleum was stunning. Beautiful sculptures. Very peaceful and serene.”

“Circle B is my new happy place. Despite being only feet away at times from large alligators (whether you see them or not), the trail by the lake is incredibly peaceful. This is a great spot to get some steps in on the trails, spot and photograph wildlife in their natural habitat, or just take a break from your hectic life to reflect and appreciate nature. Yes, there are a ton of alligators sometimes on the trail itself, but as long as you give them the respect they deserve they won’t bother you. There are plenty along the “alligator alley” trail but if you keep going on the marsh rabbit run trail you can see many more LARGE gators sunning themselves on the beach just on the other side of the canal. The whole park is full of different types of birds but I highly recommend the boardwalk with a gazebo on the lake that affords an excellent opportunity to see large ospreys and eagles grabbing a meal. I gave the trail 5 stars but keep the following in mind: - There are no water stations along the trail so bring a full bottle before you start your hike. - parking can get crowded at the entrance. Even when the lot is full however the trails themselves never seem crowded. - certain trails can be closed due to a variety of reasons. This is especially true during alligator mating and hatching seasons (typically in the spring and summer) when alligators are known to be aggressive (as I said outside of these periods they’re incredibly chill as long as they’re not provoked). Overall this place is truly a hidden gem and one of the best places in the state to see Florida in all its natural beauty.”

“I got a tip from an Estacada local about this spot. It's my new favorite campground. Clean, good fishing, and great views! I think I'm coming back next weekend!”

“Informative volunteer run historical park. This cute little park has many buildings and artifacts that date back to the 1800s that both were built on the property and buildings that were transferred to the property. The buildings are open on certain days for viewing (check the website) the park has nice paths and a boardwalk overlooking the river as well as the peir that you can walk out on. Beautiful place for pictures.”

“If you are looking for a family friendly campground, I highly recommend Skonewood. I like it that the playground with wide open grass area for sports are available right on sight so it's easy to keep your eyes on the kids. Each stall came with running water and electricity which is a HUGE plus!! The swimming area was great for kids. The float mat was their favorite!! Lots of sunnies if you're looking to fish but not much more than a bunch of sunnies. Once in a while you'll see a few bass come by but that's about it. This was our second time here and would definitely come back again in the future.”

“Well kept and maintained Travis County Park. You do have to pay admission but it's well worth it. There are areas to hike, swim, scuba dive and launch a boat. The boat parking is huge and there is adequate parking for the largest boats and trailers, there is also a courtesy dock. The restrooms are standard public park facilities. The main playground is huge and there are a few smaller ones around as well. There are tables and gazebos hidden along the trails for picnics or BBQ, there are also new pits that are cared for and not in disrepair. I would actually cook food on them. It's one of my favorite parks in the area.”

“Wonderful new pier part of the Hudson River Park. Enjoyed the free Blues BBQ festival yesterday. Perfect weather for it. Fascinating history when the pier was operated by the United States Lines and the SS United States ocean liner, the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic in either direction at the highest average speed.”

“The trail gives you a good workout up hill. Took 20 minutes to get to the top. It is mostly shaded and all paved. About halfway up you'll arrive at a clearing to take in the views. At the top you'll see the woman's prison and if you walk to the right, the state mental hospital. It is a peaceful trail and a great little hike for getting out of the house. Great for dogs and kids. Too steep for wheelchairs.”

“The park has many advantages that both the athletes and fans (players & parents) and other family and friends can enjoy. Parking and access to all of the fields, the concessions and bathrooms, as well as the batting cages and green space around the entire park is a quick and easy walk from the vehicle. Lighting at night from almost all locations in the park complement every activity. Concessions are limited, unfortunately, but what they do serve is more than just necessities. Hopefully, with support and encouragement, and some initiative from park officials, some solid foods to tide us over. Maybe some hot dogs, nachos, frozen pizza, sausage on a bun, select burgers...(HINT HINT) With all the modern ways to accomplish making this all easy, even with prices today, reasonably pricing items to sell out and still profit to keep concessions open and operating smoothly should be met with enthusiasm, by everyone.”

“The Pavillion at Heritage Park in Flower Mound is quite a large pavillion when compared to ones at other parks. There are two areas of the pavillion anyone can rent, six large tables, two benches and two grills to cool out on. The plus to this pavillion is there is a public restroom, a playground (Fort Wildflower) and a splash pad (Heritage Springs) all with in a short walking distance.”

“I have been visiting this park more often lately. Its one of my favorites in the area. Along the river and towards the south end of the park there was a huge dead tree. It looks as if a person took a vacation day from work and brought a double sided axe and a pouch of long leaf chewing tobacco down and felled that tree square into the river. I wonder who would have done such a thing?”

“Incredibly beautiful and clean park! It’s located in a nice quiet area. We visited from out of the State and brought our son to play to get some “energy out”. The only downside I’d say is the scribbling near the plaque of the family that donated the park. It’s sad when parents allow their children to deface something that’s meant to show and remind people of who gifted this park for the community and all to enjoy it. If anyone cleans it up, please keep it clean to remind others to maintain the cleanliness of the park. Overall it’s an amazing little park that sparks any child’s creativity and mind.”

“Went to this park for a performance of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The park is excellent! Quite lovely and very well kept, the grass was tidy and very soft. The layout of the place was nice and open, The walking path and pavilion with picnic tables were also very nice. The stage is small but cute and well constructed, it worked out great for the performers. if you live close by this park is perfect for an evening stroll, or a picnic with the kids. I definitely see it being the perfect venue for all kinds of events! Even at night the park is nice, with fairy lights spread around the trees it’s well lit and easy to navigate. honestly, I was very impressed, they even have trash cans AND recycle bins! 10/10 in my book!”
