“Nice, technical, 9-hole course. Beware of poison ivy. I play here often because it is almost always empty. 1st tee and 9th hole are not near each other.”

“Quiet, lots of neighborhood kids, 1 picnic table, small swing set; mini kids slide with another for bigger kids; large open area field; good shade under two enormous trees; one trash can. Parking is ample for a quick stop like I did with my kids (1 hour).”

“A fantastic greenway! A great place to walk and bike ride. However, it’s probably best to avoid visiting directly after a severe thunderstorm, because there is some flooding (depicted in some of the photos I included)”

“Nice place to get some exercise. There is good signage at all the forks in the road and even along the trails so it is easy to navigate. The city of North Port deserves a lot of credit for that. The creek was mostly dry in March so there wasn’t much to see there. I thought the white trail had the best canopy for viewing nature so be sure to take that detour off of the yellow trail.”

“I love this park! I've been coming to this park since 1995. It's a beautiful park and it is well set up. There are so many things here: Paved paths for walking/running/biking, picnic tables, pavilions, playgrounds, lakes, workout area, kids play area, tennis courts, racket ball courts, basketball courts, This park is well-maintained. I love that this park is dog-friendly because my adventure dogs like to go on outings with us. This park is perfect for outings alone, with your dogs, and/or with your family.”

“Beautiful intercoastal city park on St Pete Beach with a small sandy beach launch area for paddle boards and kayaks. Thankfully, the city has provided a PADL self service paddle board rental station so you don't have to bring your own paddle board from home!”

“A great place to go to relax. Most days I find it to not be as crowded as other parks. The trails are very small, so this is not the place for hard-core hikers. Nonetheless, it's a nice place to fish, and just enjoy nature. There is a ring of stones where people have been having fires, though I can find no official policy one way or another, so use at your own risk.”

“Planning and coordinating a funeral while still in disbelief and grieving is absolutely difficult to say the least. Working with Chris and Amanda simplified the situation as best as they could given all the circumstances surrounding the planning. This funeral home was patient to our needs and asks yet they communicated with transparency and empathy to our feelings. Thank you Amanda and Chris for being there for us and making adjustments where needed even if was to our favor or another side of the family. We know you don't have an easy job when it comes to split family funeral arrangements, but you both were amazing and delegated in a respectable manner.”

“My family and I began going to Triple R Camping Resort for Memorial Day weekend 2022. We had a pop up and it was our first adventure out with our then 3 year old. To say we were nervous was an understatement. We arrived to the amazing office staff, which we didn’t know one was the owner at the time, and they talked us through everything. They even offered to help us park! The owner drove us right to our site and made sure we were all set! They helped us get wood and made sure we knew where to hook everything up. It sparked what was truly an adventure my family and I were so blessed to have! The facilities were IMMACULATE! And trust me, I am neurotic about restrooms! We couldn’t believe how clean the bathrooms and showers were! The splash pad is AWESOME! My son loved every single minute of it. The pool and hot tub were crystal clear. We rented a golf cart and it was great to ride around at night and see the whole camp ground. Every single site has a fire pit and picnic table ready to go. Well…. This terrific family weekend and the warm welcome we received led us to book two more times in June and cancel a trip to a corporate owned camping resort in July and come back there! Each time was better than the last. We got to know the office staff, the slide attendants and the awesome owners who literally oversee EVERY INCH OF THE PARK. That, right there, is what makes this park incredible. There is SO MUCH for kids to do. Play on the playgrounds, the jump pad, fish, swim, splash park, hike, play basketball or volleyball…. The list goes on. We had such an amazing experience each time that we upgraded to a travel trailer and became seasonal campers. This is a true family camping resort. Every part of it is family oriented. The activities, entertainment, cleanliness… it is all geared for FAMILIES! You won’t regret your decision to bring your family here. It is a terrific place to go and have fun, get some Triple R and make some memories! The seasonals are amazing and make you feel like family and every single person we have met for transit trips have been so fun for my son to make friends with and hang out with. Hope to see some happy camping families there in 2023!”

“It is easy to miss this little gem of a preserve. I have passed it numerous times and finally decided to stop and take a look. The gravel parking lot is small, but that wasn't a problem with only one other car there. There are a few picnic tables and some benches and there is also a nice little clearing to launch a canoe or kayak. The Preserve is not very big, but it is a tranquil respite for anyone who enjoys relaxing outdoors and enjoying a little piece of undeveloped Florida.”

“We only camped one night but had a great time. The check in hosts (Trish and Will, I believe?) we extremely kind and helpful. The waterside sites are gorgeous but I would avoid the sites that back up to Buford Dam Road due to noise and lack of scenery. We were in site 7, which is quite small for a trailer. Ours is 16 feet and I would not try with something larger. Ideal for tents though. The bathrooms were clean but very minimal. No trash cans in the bathrooms, so please pack your garbage out. There are bins outside the bathroom. I did notice the dumpster was overflowing and needed to be picked up. The campground was very quiet at night, but be aware, there are houses across the lake from some of the sites. It could get noisy especially around summer holidays. We live locally and are familiar with Lake Lanier. There is lots of do here for recreation and there are stores and restaurants nearby. We will be back to Sawnee for another staycation in the future! “This park has a great view but that pretty much it. It is just a bench at on a larger area of grass on top of a neighborhood hill. Dogs seem to enjoy it but there is not a fenced area for them. The park is pretty well maintained.”

“We've been trying to explore all the different parks within 15-20 minutes of Dunn and we hadn't been here yet. I would say it's a great park if you're going to have a birthday party or a sports events. There are 4 little grills, 8 picnic tables under two shaded awnings; all which is really nice. The playground equipment itself is just small and as we came here solely for that, my toddler got bored easily. We so appreciate the swings though as our closest park does not have them. There's a big field which is also home to a gazebo which is nice for a baseball game or something. Tl/Dr: nice park but too small playground”

“My kids and I had an awesome first experience at the aquatic center. We enjoyed tot time from 10am-11:45am for only $2 a person. They have a wonderful toddler pool and water slide. Highly recommend. We live 30 min away, but we'll be back for sure!”

“Always gorgeous and inspiring. Fifteen years ago, we created a lovely pond with materials and ideas from Creative Water Gardens. We still return once or twice a year for fresh ideas and supplies. It's so beautiful, my youngest considers it a special reward outing instead of a shopping trip.”

“Do not go to this park after dark. I went to Scheve Park at around 12:30 AM, It was quiet and seemed completely empty, but I could not have been more wrong. After spending a short time at the park I began to hear a tapping noise, it sounded as if it was coming from all around me. It quickly turned from a tap to a scratch and got progressively more violent. Looking back on it, I probably should have ran, but my curiosity got the better of me. Shortly after I passed the kiddie playground, I heard the gate slam violently. I turned quickly but there was nothing there. I walked over to the gate to see what could have caused that, but there was no animals or people. This terrified me. I started running to my car but I got extremely dizzy and tripped. I was knocked out for maybe around 15 minutes, and in this time I had a horrible nightmare, but I'm not sure if it was really in my head. During this nightmare I looked up after I had fallen onto the ground and saw a man tower over me, he was smiling with the most terrifying smile I have ever seen, his smile reached from ear to ear and his teeth were shark like knives, I passed out again then woke up around 15 minutes. I quickly ran back to my car after I had woken up and I was able to leave safely. For this experience I am going to have take a star off of this review. It is a great park but I am afraid it is haunted by demons. Stay safe everyone.”

“According to Greene County P&T SPRING LAKES IS NOW OPEN! "Thank you for your patience as we made the necessary repairs at Spring Lakes Park. The park is officially open and ready for you. You may notice a beautiful new dock available for use as well! Spring Lakes is a pay lake, stocked once a month. Currently we are stocking catfish. Get your permits (daily or yearly) below." This is a hidden gem of a park. The lakes are lovely. The fishing looked good, but it takes some sort of special permission to fish there. There is no play ground equipment but there are picnic tables. Be sure to avoid the cement trucks as you drive back to the park. July 2020 update...this is open and it is easy to maintain social distance. I always see people fishing. I like the ducks and geese.”
