“This is a large park with soccer and baseball areas plus large pavilions for special events. There are walking trails and large fields for sports use. I was there for a Halloween dog event. There were alot of people there with their dogs and about 25 vendors. There is plenty of free parking available. Parking and park are handicapped friendly.”

“Very quiet campground. Plenty of room between RV’s. Full hookups. Has a restroom/showers and laundry room but never had to use it so I can’t honestly rate that. The woman who runs the campground was very friendly and available. Overall for the price worth staying and I would stay again. If you are looking for a luxury full amenities place to park your RV this isn’t the campground for you.”

“A great state park for beginner hikers, dog walkers (on-leash) and kids due to the two playgrounds and sandy beach with swimming opportunities. It certainly wouldn’t be in my list of top choices for hiking landscape and variety, elevation, or breathtaking views but it is still a nice park with plenty of flat Prairie and wooded trails. There is a pet swim area, boat launch, plenty of rudimentary camper slots, shelters, grills, and horseshoe pits. It would likely only take 2-3 hours to hike every trail and see each edge of this park.”

“This course is tree city! Holes are close together and not a lot of large hills. Easy to navigate even without UDisc. Best to throw yellow and orange discs with so many ferns wanting to hide your disc right under your nose. Mostly shaded so great to play when it’s warm out. Nice restroom at the start of the course with ample parking. Definitely a great course to get your tree game honed in.”

“This is a great park with playground, facilities and a whole bunch of soccer fields. Biggest strug bus is that the fields always seem to be wet. After every game chasing around a bunch of six years, I look like I just did a tough mudder.”

“Spent several awesome days here with my son and his family. With drought conditions drying up the Medina River, this place will probably always have water because it’s spring fed. 3 cabins and 2 RV spots on 8 acres, means no one is crowded on top of you. One cabin is a 4 bedroom double wide trailer with wrap around porch. Bath house and restroom facilities are new and clean.”

There is also a dump station behind the main bathroom & shower house. There is ice & firewood for sale. There is a playground for the little campers. There is a nice trail to hike. “Linda and Steven have created something very special and unique with their Goatel. The loft above the goat barn was cozy, comfortable and also included a kitchen & bathroom. Kids loved the farm experience, being able to fish in the bayou and making s’mores. Definitely recommend this place!”
