We live in between here, French and weaver lake parks, and love them all. A great summer spot that can feel like you’re not near the cities.. and in the winter, ice fishing and snowshoeing are options. “Beautiful reserve! There is a decent size hill that has a trail that goes to its highest point and trails that go around the bottom of the hill. Also trails that go through the prairie grass and beside The Little Miami River that is very scenic. Parking is more than adequate. There is a portable restroom and a picnic table. There isn't a playground.”

“Pristine modern park situated in a pleasant residential area. Slides, climbing frames and rocking devices on a soft surface area suitable for toddlers and young children. Gazebo with tables and benches for al fresco dining, desirable mostly for shelter from the direct glare of the sun. Well managed surrounding lawn area for little ones to joyfully run around and play. All this in a setting which takes in the distant Sandia mountain range rounds of what is really a lovely place to spend a few fun hours !”

“Lake Tye provides plenty for all ages. For the children there is a sizable varied play area which is near seating for the parents. For the sports enthusiast are plenty of #fishing areas, and a boat launch, although no lifeboats are provided, as well as a #skatepark, tennis court and sports field. Hiking, running and walking trails are a decent length. Swimming is also available. And of course there are a number of bird varieties to see including hawks and eagles occasionally. Bathrooms are available in the main park area. The park is well maintained. And although there are no food vendors on-site there are restaurants nearby. The only thing missing is an enclosed dog park area.”

What I don't like is that the turf needs to be cleaned badly or refine completely! The tire pieces that make up the backing is loose and makes kids feet completely black!
