“Beautiful and fairly intimate, small, quiet park with gorgeous views of the Cascade Mountains and Lake Washington. Most people use it as an off leash area just for their dogs...it's not! No toys, just a few statues so there are less kids running around, playing and screaming and laughing. Nice place to sit and read or write in or just enjoy the sun/weather. ****disclosure**** The back "wall/border" of the park is nothing but sun ripened blackberry bushes galore! So it's a beautiful, tranquil Park and tasty too!!!!😉😎💙💚”

Kayak Launch- Myakka River State Park

Address: 13208 FL-72, Sarasota, FL 34241, USA

Park

“Great place to launch. If you go north from here to the lake, download a map to your phone. There are a lot of twist and turns and no cell coverage - so download a map ahead of time. It is an easy stroll up to the lake. Lots of dead ends if you do not have a map. I personally saw the biggest gator I have ever seen with my own eyes on a river bank. Definitely worth your time if you like observing wildlife. If you plan on going South past Clark Rd. Check in with the Rangers because you will need a permit if you plan on heading past Clark Rd to the Gator Hole.”

My daughter's 9 now and she loved it. We met a 10 and 11 year old and they were having a blast. Check my images. The playground has loads of cables to climb on, funky seats to rest in, a rock wall, slides, and other obstacles It even had an adult excersie area near the kids playground. Great for active kids and adults. The kids playground was half in the sun and half shaded by trees. So great for hot or cool days. The park itself is very nice. There was a baseball game going on in the baseball field and a family was under a permanent shaded structure having a birthday party. Lots of grass and areas to relax.”

Turf grass for soccer and football is in excellent condition and maintained very well.”
