“Beautiful! I recently went here and I couldn’t get over the gardens and hiking trails! A must-see if you’re in the Madison area. They have a cool little sandbox area for kids to play too (with toys and a tiny book library). The gardens were beautiful. Lots of flowers and plants for pollinators too which I loved seeing. The trail I went on was beautiful. There was a walk in the woods on an hill overlooking the water as well as a walk through some prairie. Highly recommend!”

“We went to attend a little dance exhibition for our granddaughter that was at the park. We don't live in the area. What a fabulous event! Elf on the twelfth was so fun. Large park area for the kids to play, pizza food truck and free popcorn while watching Elf on the outdoor screen. Well organized and all around a great event.”

“I stopped on my way down to Colorado Springs to give this a try and was able to do 4 summits. The first one I took the longer winding .7 Mile Trail down to the bottom, but the next three I just went up the stairs and came straight back down. Fastest time up was 2:15min, and down in 2min. I saw that the Strava record is 40 seconds. Definitely got my heart pumping and by the 3rd and 4th time up I had to stop and rest a few times on the stairs.”

It is a calming feeling to know that they are in good care by such professional people who are staffed at there. Everyone is so thoughtful and nice and their kindness is so appreciated when I was going through such a difficult time. “Apparently Google maps takes you nowhere near anything you can use nor anywhere to park. All the sand you can eat, if you follow their directions though. Good luck. The parking lot for the boardwalk is less than a mile before where Google has you going. There's maybe a dozen parking spots there. Nice boardwalk and one small trail through the woods.”

“This park was so beautiful! Our lot was clean and shaded. The hookups were all easy especially for us novice campers. The staff were all wonderful and the other campers were fun too! We enjoyed the pool and took a luxury limo ride to the zoo. (They even let us keep the car seat in the limo which was awesome!) We also loved meeting Max and seeing his many talents! Thanks for a wonderful experience!”

“Drive up to the trail head was treacherous. We had a cheap rental and was a difficult drive up. We only had about 40 minutes to hike and down but it was a very nice hike with some great views. 4x4s or jeeps are recommee.”

“A good little park for families in the nearby apartments or housing neighborhoods. We used to bring kids here when I worked at a summer camp program. There is a trail for walking that splits a couple ways, picnic tables for eating, and benches for resting. A swing-set and jungle gym for kids to play on, an open area for playing frisbee or perhaps having a game of soccer with friends, and a basketball court with 4 hoops. Occasionally you'll see organized games on the courts. Plenty of shade thanks to the trees, in addition to the shaded building with extra tables. The maintenance is decent, could be a little better. Occasionally all bathrooms are completely inaccessible during hours of operation with no signs or explanation.”

“The Tahoe-Pyramid Trail is a nice trail which follows the Truckee River and Hwy 80. The trail stays close to the river a majority of the way and has a few historic buildings along the trail. It's gradually climbs the canyon and offers a unique and peaceful experience. I mountain biked from the lower start of the trail about two miles before turning back around.”

“Overall this is a great park for kids. Lots of fun things to play with, including zip line, slides, swings, sand digger, climbing structure, and more. There's a nearby pavilion with benches which provides good shade, but I wish there was more shade around the park itself. There's only two benches outside of the pavilion. There's some large playing fields nearby too.”

“I discovered this place by making a wrong turn and do not regret it at all. There is a parking lot, restrooms with a water fountain, kayak rental and launch, beach, beer garden, slides, and fun relics to climb on. We tried to fly a kite there and ended up enjoying the sunset. It is a beautiful park!”
