It was a completely relaxed ride regardless of rider experience level. Seeing so many wild horses was such a gift. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time and already know where we’re headed as soon as we get back to Arizona!! It was an experience worth every penny. “Ready for night time gatherings! Hawthorne Park is just a stone throws north of Homestead Park. But while the latter is geared towards kids, Hawthorne Park has mom and dad in mind. The center patio area has strings of lights that provide a soft glow in the evenings. At on side of the patio is a unique feature among Verrado parks, a real firepit. Bring your own logs and a beverage to enjoy the cool evenings with friends. Additionally there is wall seating and a round dinning table with chairs. A 110 outlet is also available. A trash container and pet waste bags are available. I love this little park and wish we lived closer to it”

“One of the best beaches I've been to for snorkeling. We saw amazing fishes and they are just everywhere. The coral reef is fantastic to observe just pleas DO NOT STEP OR TOUCH for more than 5 sec - it is a living thing and human suffocate it basically. There is not much natural shade on the beach so either go early to get the spots under the palm trees or make sure you have either a beach umbrella or a good (reef-friendly) sunscreen or maybe both if you'd like to be on the safe side :). Booking in advance is mandatory.”

I wish some of the parts of the main side of park were fixed already but that's minor considering the ocean 🌊 and the big play grounds for the kiddos and the boat ramps and great fishing spot. I have been going here since before I was born and now my kids love going there too. It just keeps getting better and better.”

“Very neat park! I didn't know Franklin had such a strategic battle here in the Civil War. We actually met a man here who gave us alot of information on the times and the battle. He knew his stuff! I'm pretty sure he was a 'daughter of the __________' who took care of the park! The map at the top of the stairs is something to see. It is hard for me to imagine HOW the terrain, the times, the killing that went on here transpired!!! So sad.”
