There are nice granite walking trails around the park. The trails are approximately 1 mile long with options to cut the walk shorter. About 60-70% of the trail is shaded.”

The playground is smaller, but nice and shaded by a big beautiful, easily climbable tree. There’s a small covered pavilion complete with a little stage and 2 small public park grills. Bathrooms are always clean, walkable distance to shops and restaurants. Great place to walk after a nice local dinner. Don’t forget to check out the little children’s garden at the end of the park on Grevelia, past the tennis courts. Also, great neighborhood events in the summer months.”

“This is a great park! My 3 and 6 year old sons love it. We have some pretty nice playgrounds where we're from, but I'd say Charlie Daniels Park is at the top of our list. Every time we travel to the Mount Juliet area, we try to make an effort to spend a few hours at Charlie Daniels. We've spent most of our time at the children's playground. There is a lot of variety and a lot of vibrant colors. It definitely keeps our kids' attention for a while. We haven't used the splash pad, but there's one right next to the kid's playground. There are also other amenities (skate park, basketball, etc); however, we haven't walked much outside of the children's playground. Attached you'll also see a new exercise area that they built, which is pretty neat.”

“Beautiful setting, plenty of parking, picnic tables close to the playground. Although some people evidently don't know how to read.,. It clearly states it is a tobacco free playground but there are cigarette butts everywhere. The lake seems well taken care of. (No trash). Just very nice to take the kids & skip rocks or like my granddaughter likes to do is throw little rocks in & make a wish. We even found a few shell's.”
