There was also a yoga class going on if that's something you're looking for. There are a couple restrooms and water fountains. Raven Rock State Park Bridle Trails

Address: 1590 River Rd, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526, USA

Park

“If you are wanting to hike, go to the HIKING trails on the other side of the river. They are there for hiking only. No horses are allowed there. Those of us that ride our horses use the BRIDLE trails. It is the only side we can use. If you don't like horses and horse poop, go to the HIKING trails for HIKERS. Just Google hiking trails to make sure they are not the BRIDLE trails. Those of us that ride only have limited parking for our trucks and trailers. There are approx. 3-4 parking spots for cars on BRIDLE side. The rest of the parking is for horse trailers. On the HIKING side, there is plenty of room for cars. 😁”

Crosswinds Campground

Campground Lodging Park

“Thank you for making my teen son's first camping trip (that he can recall) so good!. We had private beach access by renting a lake front site and it was clean and quiet. I was able to use a charcoal hibachi on private beach for lunch everyday which kids loved! Also leave all our floats, paddleboards, cooler, chairs etc. set up all week on our beach spot vs. hauling back and forth. The sites are distanced just enough to still feel private. You can bring your dogs and tie out to the provided metal poles with hooks for hanging trash, lanterns or mess kits. Every site is shaded which was nice. The picnic tables can be moved to make your camp set up convenient. Also, pets aren't allowed on the camp beach but welcomed on the private beach areas connected to the sites. Lastly, the bathrooms - we we're in loop A and our camp host whom I met was very nice & social. She kept loop A bathrooms clean, mold free, well stocked with toilet paper and even the showers felt clean and safe. We really appreciated the dedication she put in by cleaning bathrooms multiple times during the day.”

Missouri Greenway Trailhead: Harry S Truman Park

Gas station Atm Car wash Convenience store Restaurant Store Park

“I go to this had station a lot after dark. It is well lot and feels safe. I am usually alone, so that is important. The guy behind thecounter is friendly. There is usually an older gentleman sweeping, cleaning the pumps or taking out thetrash. He watches, but not in a creepy easy. It feels more secure and helpful. The store is small, but well stocked. Because I work in the area, this has become my preferred gas station. I am not accosted by anyone begging for money or anything like that. It just doesn't happen here and I appreciate it. I do wish they had better lighting at the air pump though.”

Menomonee Park

Address: W220 N7884 Town Line Rd, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051, USA

Park

“Great place to swim but be aware of the deep drop offs since it is a quarry. There's a nice path to walk all the way around the quarry. Fishing pier, dog swimming area, rentals. The swimming area has a big raft to jump off. Sometimes lifeguards are there, it's hit or miss in my opinion. Nice little playground area too. The concession stand is closed but the bathroom and showers are open. You have to pay $6 for a day pass if you are just coming to swim for the day. Awesome campgrounds as well. Horseback riding trails. So much wonderful space for everyone to enjoy!”

Lowell Riverfront Trail

Address: Everett, WA 98201, USA

Park

“I went on walks here a lot as a kid and it was just okay, I recently returned and my gosh! They have really taken care of the place. The flora is nicely maintained, the path is a paved trail and crosses many picnic tables and grassy areas. It's not a particularly exciting walk and the view of the river is a little blocked, but if you are just looking for an evening stroll it's a lovely park. There's a lot of families that walk the park too, so it never gets too secluded.”
