“For hike-in group camping, these sites are wonderful. Large spaces under a canopy of very old, tall trees where the tree trunks are quite far apart. Near enough to the shores of Falls Lake that you can hike down there for beautiful views. Nicely maintained gravel roads allow wheeling in your gear and firewood. Plenty of picnic tables. Perfect fire pits for groups, with sturdy benches all around. Multiple tall, sturdy hooks for lights or garbage. Just make sure this is the style of camping you're going for. You must be up for the job!”

“This is truly a great place to visit any time of the year! If you're looking to escape the busy streets of LA and looking for a quiet place to stroll, this is it. Descano Gardens is HUGE and very BEAUTIFUL! There are many picture opportunities for those that like to take shots of plants and gardens. Do pick up a map when you're there as you will need it to find all the different gardens here. Also try the mini train.... yes adults can ride it too!”

“Family friendly park tucked away near the bay. The park is well kept. You can sit near the water, play basketball, tennis, soccer or at the playground. Enjoy a barbecue or the exercise area with outdoor equipment and countless wonderful areas for yoga. Amazing park overall!”

“Wonderful large shelter with restrooms and a kitchen. It's designed in the prairie style of architecture. It's situated toward the top of the hill, but with just enough hill to separate it from the amphitheatre. It's filled with picnic tables. It is often used for gatherings such as birthdays and reunions. It is surrounded by old trees”

“Had a great time chilling by the water with my friend for her birthday. It is a beautiful, clear, clean area to camp and hang out, with clean bathrooms and clear paths, as well as driveways and parking. Spacious and open, some desired areas are only a hundred yards away from each other on the water but even then you can't hear much of other people's noise, and plenty of room to get far away from everyone if you desire. Grills are available if you don't make your own fire or bring a portable grill, and the view of the night sky alone is worth it. We saw some amazing things in the sky out there, because the light pollution is so little and the sky was so clear. We can't wait to visit again, this will be our local camping grounds!”

“Grandview is a great dog park. It's over 30 acres with 3 distinct levels and several distinct areas. There is a training field with items you can use for dexterity course training. There is a stream and hillside trails. If you are a new dog owner you can usually find dog walker professionals that can and will answer questions for you. I've also always had great interactions with other dog owners. It's a very friendly place”

“This is a great place to hike. It has multiple trails, and the wildlife is amazing. Gorgeous views and beautiful sun rises and sunsets. The hike isn't very long if you're walking depending on your pace you could take half an hour or more. If you're jogging of course it is shortened. If you are not from Albuquerque NM I would not recommend just jogging this trail. You are constantly changing altitudes and if you're not used to the dry climate I suggest working your way to jogging and running. On that note, bring the kids, have fun, and enjoy the beauty of this amazing land.”

“It's a great Park the only thing I don't like is there is a gas station across the street but there's no crosswalk to get to it and it's a four lane road cross to get to it I think there should be a light there other than that it's a great Park”

“My son often asks for "the tallest slide in the city" and we haven't found a park with taller slides than Betty Wolfe park. It has a taller structure for older kids and a smaller one for tots, plus nice swings and a balance beam and seesaw. He also loves the rock climbing structures and it has a nice walking path for "nature walks." All around great park with something for all ages.”

“Undeveloped city park. The main trail through the park developed naturally and was always muddy and a bit sketchy. The city has done a bunch of work to improve it, adding stairs, gravel in places, and plank walkways.”

“Awesome place to catch some good photos of birds. Cute little walking trails and hedge maze, and a little park for kids to play on. Only downside is the busy road it's right next too, but still pretty peaceful. Definitely will be coming back.”

“Loved Frog creek the staff were so sweet and helpful. We brought our own kayaks and paddled down the creek it was scary with jumping fish but we had a great time. The campsite was clean and spacious. The pool was warm. Camped for 3 nights before we moved on. Would stay there again if we are in the area.”
