“This little park is within walking distance of my house and has a lot packed into it's small space. There are statues, benches, and an open grassy area where a farmers market happens in season. It is adjacent to a playground young children would enjoy and a baseball field. It is also right next to Watertown City Buildings - so you can run an errand and enjoy a few moments in a beautiful outdoor space before moving on with your day.”

“My friend and I took her two children to this park and we were the only people there and we had stopped and picked up pizza and drinks and had a wonderful picnic experience with the boys. The background in my pic is a little picture of the variety of slides they offer. There are more slides and they have a set of swings. They also have a water fountain for the thirsty children that will define try get hot and sweaty. Where we ate lunch was under a shaded area with plenty of sitting areas for a number of families.”

“I really love Morgan Hills dog park, they have 2 sections one each fir little dogs and one for big dogs. In the middle there is a large duck pond too and my dogs love to chase the ducks back into the water. It’s also quote beautiful and there is no fee required to access the park. Also, they don’t lock up and close it at night so if you want to go late, you can! 🐾🐕🦺🐩🦮🐶”

“Crags Campground is a popular 4-season destination, even (perhaps especially) in the winter. Dog friendly. The campground is closed in the winter, but free parking is available 1.1 miles down the road from the Devil's Playground and Pike's Peak trailhead and 0.6 miles from the Raspberry Mountain trailhead. This time of year the hiking with microspikes and snowshoes is wonderful. The trail up to Pike's Peak is available for the more adventurous hikers. Often gorgeous conditions for cross country skiing or hiking up and snowboarding down various trails. Of course, check the weather in advance and come prepared! When checking the weather, the closest town is Divide, CO.”

“When we first started planning for our roadtrip, we found out fast that many RV parks have breed restrictions which wouldn’t allow us to stay due to us owning pit bulls which we think is absolutely ridiculous but I’ll save that discussion for another time. Needless to say, we’ve had to get creative in our search for places to stay. I have to admit I was intrigued when I found this place. It has been the most unique place we’ve stayed thus far. It’s a cross between an antique store and an outdoor wonderland...two of our favorite things to do! The owner (Mark) took us on a private tour of his antique collection that he has been working on for years. It was absolutely amazing! He was 100% accepting our furrbabies and considered them as family members. Swimming hole and bike trails onsite looked like a blast but we only stayed for a night so didn’t have much time to explore. Each site has water & electric hookups and there is a sewage drop area onsite as well if needed. There is a Walmart and Alabama Adventure theme park within 15 mins. Perfect place to bring kiddos. Overall we loved this extraordinary place and will be returning!”

The paved bike trails through the woods circle around Goose Lake. A few years ago I almost ran into a large black bear right on the trail just a few yards from one on the busiest roads in town. It's a great place to just get away for a little while. If you're a geocacher, this is a great setting, with still plenty of room to hide more!”
