“Update: We have taken our little girl several times to visit her friends over the past several months. Due to lots of heavy rains wasn’t able to make it weekly, however we go as often as possible. Most recent being last Sunday. I do advice to be sure to bring a water bowl and water, the babies definitely need their water while playing so vigorously with their buddies! Original post: My pup really enjoys herself at the park and meeting up with her pup friends! We stay for about 90 minutes to 2 hours and she is tired for the next day or so! Other half delivers for his job nearby and told me about the park. We come to Oregon every weekend from our home in Washington (by Olympia) and decided last week to see how our little girl does with other dogs and in a dog park setting. She loves it and loves visiting her friends! We have went 2 weeks in a row and plan to make it a weekly adventure for her.”

There's so many trails to walk, a disc golf course, a super cool and well-maintained wooden playground set in the trees, and you should definitely take the short walk to the pond overlook to see the frogs and fish. Do watch out for cottonmouth snakes though, down near the water. I've seen them by the shore more than a couple of times.”

The ppl who run the camp are super nice and have allowed us, if we call ahead, to play disc golf there. They continue to expand what they offer and I'm sure the kids who get to go to camp here have a fabulous time... “Sweetwater is in my book a must see. Whether you live nearby or are traveling past, take some time to stop. It is absolutely breath taking beautiful. You can visit the lake or walk the creek. It is taken care of, kept clean and free of trash. You can follow many trails, walking the lake or the creek. The bate store in on the lake and the store attendants are super friendly and informative. You can purchase any supplies which you may need, from fishing line, lures, gear, live baits and much more. Maps are supplied if needed. Though the shop is smaller in size you will not be dissatisfied with the selection. You will find just about anything you would need. No matter your style of fishing! All in all the is 💯 hands down one of my favorite visits in Georgia.”

It was a fun time and I was super excited to discover this park . My kids are growing almost too old for playgrounds so this was a great try at something more their level of entertainment. I would recommend anyone to visit. Even to soak in the warm weather and people watch as this place also seems to get several visitors as well. But we enjoyed the disc golf part of the park. It was a nice day when we visited and no one else but is were on the course which was nice for us because we have never played so it was nice to not feel in the way or rushed as we went along.”

Minnehaha Dog Park

Address: 5399 Minnehaha Park Dr S, Minneapolis, MN 55417, USA

Park

“The best dog park that we have ever been to! We are from out from town, but were happy that we could still bring our dogs here. You have to buy a permit online which costs $5 per dog per day, but that was pretty easy to do. You don’t have to print this off, which can be a huge hassle when travelling. The park itself is gorgeous, and also huge! Plenty of walking trails through the woods to explore with a ton of off leash areas. There is also an area by the water where dogs are able to splash around. Lots of friendly dog owners around who were able to point us in the right directions. Do not skip this place if you have dogs! It is well worth the drive and the small fee.”
