Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve

“Gorgeous natural reserve park with beautiful views and plants. We went on a Wednesday midday and there was a lot of open parking spaces and not a lot of people on the trail. The views you see from the location are breathtaking. This would be a gorgeous place to do a nature inspired photoshoot or also great if you want to walk the trail as a form of exercise. There are benches through the trail so you can stop and rest. Overall I would recommend to anyone looking to do a nature walk whether you are local or visiting Port Washington.”

Brother's Park

Address: 4099 S Indiana Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605, USA

“This is a pretty nice soccer complex. One complaint would be the lack of parking for the far eastern side of the park. This spring season, they did grade a small parking area that began to improve the parking problems. Closer bathrooms would be nice. The paved path throughout is nice. The shade trees are great and will keep getting better. The fields are very well taken care of which is nice to play on. It looks like they are in the process of doing some other improvements.”

I love that it has two different sets of playgrounds (see photos) for different age groups, and lots of mature trees for some extra shade on a hot day. My kids are excited to go back and explore "the tunnels" again. - Katharina Locke President of MOMS Club(R) of Shakopee and Prior Lake”

“The front of the park has a rock garden area where you can climb and explore all over giant (and very beautiful) boulders. The nature trails here are well-packed dirt, very smooth. They aren't very long if you're seeking a hike, but the trails go through woods, along the water, and through a grassy wildflower meadow, so there's a lot to see. They are a nice walk for my dog who is getting older and gets tired out from long distances, and there are benches spread throughout. A great spot for kids, elderly, pets, etc.”

And they are in the process of cutting down "infected" trees which do block some off pavement trails. Not crowded and the people we did come in contact with were friendly and all pets were on leashes. Very clean. Very convenient to I-24. Great parking area. Felt completely safe!”

“Passed through on a mini vacation + was told to go to this park. This was the cleanest park I have seen in a long time especially for such a big city. Lots of parking, lots of roaming space, a nice long walking trail, very green + lush grass, plants + tree's all around, clean bathrooms, nice covered picnic area with sink (water not working here at the time) + a bbq pit there too, ample other locations to have a picnic or just enjoy the beautiful views on the water at any of the many benches + tables, very quite all day into the evening (I just had to watch that sunset on the water). I definitely will be visiting this park again on my next visit.”
