“My review of Butler Park. This is a sweet little park. Street parking only. No bathrooms, water fountain works and has a pet watering trough as well. It has new play equipment and the play area is filled with wood chips. There are 5 stone picnic benches scattered along the dirt walking path with one large covered picnic ramada in the back. I saw no grills. There is a basketball court in which the basket balls dont always get free of the net. And a small grassy field with large evergreen elm trees providing lots of shade. It's a sweet neighborhood park.”

“We stayed one night in the container cabin. What a cool little cabin. Everything you need in such a tiny place. Very well equipped, very clean,. The attached deck with patio doors, bbq and chairs were great. We ate dinner at the restaurant and were astonished at the excellent customer service provided by the wait staff….The owners were friendly and accommodating. The property: marina, campground, restaurant and cabins were well looked after. Would definitely recommend.”

“Best sporting club out there! We will be members for a long time. The property is beautiful with options for upland and waterfowl hunts. “Super cute park with a walking path. Close to the lake but not on it, so no waterfront views. Playground for the kids and several covered picnic tables for eating. Super.clean and well maintained with good parking. Disc golf course too. Only downside, not much shade, so be sure to bring sunscreen. Update - this place gets windy!! Be sure to bring a hat, scarf and gloves to walk here in the winter. Place was deserted on a Saturday morning in early December, my guess is the weather is a bit of a deterrent.”

“A small trailhead with a rock parking lot, port-a-potty, old picnic table. Nicely mowed path back to the woods where the trail takes you through the woods and around an open prairie on the other side. Great for a hot days run, watch the roots and deadfall limbs.”

There is no separate small dog section like at some other dog parks, but it is big enough so there is a lot of space.”

“This is the trailhead for both a single-track mountain biking trail and a short (about 1.0 or 1.5 mile) hiking loop. The two trails are on opposite ends of a parking lot. There are restrooms. Note this is not one of the best places to park to access the 5- to 7-mile loop that goes around the perimeter of the park. In general, signage at this park is not the best. I was there to hike. If you're looking for a shorter hike, this is a nice one that takes you through a variety of ecosystems. It's rugged enough to feel like you got exercise but not really challenging for most folks. I think younger children could handle it.”
