Great place to bring family because not many deep spots Only thing was bathrooms were a good walk away from spring and no showers were available when we went. “Recommendation in Goddard, KS. We had to make last minute reservations because weather forced us to stop New Year's Eve before we had planned. We called them while on the side of the road nearby. The woman who took our call was very friendly, professional and helpful. We were then able to add another night when freezing rain and below zero temps kept us off the road New Year's Day. Due to the extreme conditions, we ran out of propane on the 1st and they were nice enough to come out and fill our RV on the Holiday in subzero windchills and refused the tip we wanted to give them.We dealt with 3 different people and all were wonderful. In addition to all of that, they had great facilities.”

“Fun playground including an enclosed three- story slide that even an adult can use. There is a skate park for skateboarding (maybe in-line skating, tool. We like using the paved walking/biking path along the creek and looking for wildlife from the small bridge. The building is often open for various events, which is convenient. Free off-street parking available.”

“Campground was clean. Not too many trees so if you want plenty of shade I would recommend bringing a canopy. There are Campground host on site. You can make a reservation for campsite online or there are some sites avaliable for first come first serve as well. River nearby with a small "sandy beach". River water was super cold. The hot spring water temperature is not consistent near the river.”

“For a short trail, probably less than 2 miles out and back, it offers beautiful scenery, variable elevations, and lots to explore! There is an easy level main trail, but I began on the rougher back trail nearest the river at the corner of the parking lot and was not disappointed. It was far more challenging than the flat smoothed path at the main trailhead. If you take this more difficult back trail, be prepared for some rock climbing, a bit of mud, and a couple water crossings. I spent a full 2 hours on this trail mainly from stopping to let my dog get wet in the river and to simply take my time and enjoy the views.”

“Great visit. I was a camper there for two weeks from 1975-1981. I am an Alumni. Most favorite day at camp was Sunshine Day. I was the one who sang Shop Around there and everybody loved it!!! For most kids who went to or go to camp, it's Home Away From Home. One of the best camps I went to, I loved it best!”
