Instead of sand they have little pieces of wood for the kids to run on. It’s a great place to have a summer picnic. There arent too many people there at any given time. South Park Doggie - Doggieland (LA)

Address: 147 W 24th St, Los Angeles, CA 90007, USA

Park

“Our two huskies loved Southpark Doggieland!!! It was easy to drop off and pick up at this location. It was immaculately clean and a newer location so we decided to try it. Of course it was so much fun for our pups and they were able to get socialization - which they needed badly! We loved watching them on the live Cameras when we’re out of town. It’s like it’s own entertainment channel for us to see them interact with other dogs. Gary is always great to work with and always accommodating with a positive attitude and always willing to go that extra mile. The staff were great - I didn’t catch all their names but all of them were so friendly, warm and personable. Brian was a great help with scheduling, checking in and out quickly and answered any questions we had.”

Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge

Address: 4155 Suwannee Canal Road, Folkston, GA 31537, USA

Park

“Tony and I went to Folkston, GA outside of Jacksonville Florida basically across the state line. This swamp is full of Alligators and is a Refuge. The cost is $5 per person and if you take the boat ride it's only $25 each extra. The ride is 1.5 hours long. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We were the only ones on the boat, kinda like a personal trip. Very nice! We were on the 930am boat tour on a Wednesday so it wasn't very busy and very enjoyable weather. The bugs didn't bother us much, but we did have on quite a bit of bug spray!!! I tipped him $15 for the trip, we saw a turtle, 2 tiny frogs, several different species of birds, 3 Barred Owls and 4 Alligators. It was very enjoyable and I would definitely do again!! Highly Recommend you detour for the boat tour!!!”

Polly Ann Trail

Address: Polly Ann Trail - Oakland County, Orion Twp, MI 48360, USA

“The trail is well maintained, flat and an easy walk, run or bike ride. It is a gravel/dirt trail with easy to see mile markers. It does cross many streets, a few are busy but more are probably dirt roads. I was disappointed that at the beginning by mile mark zero there is no parking.”

Turn right you can go to rose garden or go to train station for small train ($3 but waste money). Turn right you can go to Japanese garden. If you go straight, you just go into camellia forest.”

“Everything was so clean; the grounds, bathrooms, showers, and laundry room. It's off the road a bit, so it's really quiet while still being easy to enter and exit. Staff was very friendly; always waving and smiling. Our site was pretty level and big enough for our class A and tow vehicle. We'd stay here again.”

Rathmell Sports Park

Address: 3577 East St, Birmingham, AL 35243, USA

Park

“The fields nice, but slick not really sure why. Parking was very difficult, looks like it was just paved but no parking lines, drove around for 20 minutes then had to just block people in. Also seems because of the paving no overflow, so now maybe fewer parking slots? Lots of effort to make it nicer, so maybe afterwards it will be better.”

Krause Springs

“To say I had garden envy is a complete understatement. Everything here looked so lush and vibrant. The staff tending to the plants were super friendly and willing to share knowledge on the plants and property. Everything is very well kept and you can tell the staff take huge pride over their facility. My husband and 5 year old are avid spring swimmers and jumped right in. Rope swing was a hit. My 16yr old and myself enjoyed sunning on the surrounding rocks and watching the wildlife. The pool was gorgeous and it was so cool to watch the water flow into the pool, out again, down the water fall and into the spring pool. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone thinking of visiting.”

Castellow Hammock Preserve & Nature Center

Address: 22301 SW 162nd Ave, Miami, FL 33170, USA

Park

“This park is very adorable. They have lots of butterfly awareness. It's a very small park and barely anyone comes. It has a trail as well but it's like a jungle so I'm not gonna lie I got a little scared when I got to the middle I didn't know where to go 🥲🥲 so keep that in mind if you wanna go on the trail. This is one of my favorite parks now, it's very peaceful and cute surrounded by nature. Only thing Is that there's no playground so some kids might be bored here.”

There is plenty of parking, portable restrooms and Ballard Park is basically connected to Metzger Preserve.
