“This park is for picnics with loved ones, playgrounds with your kids, batting practice, and like 5 baseball fields for games. In the summer it offers concessions (sometimes) and restrooms.”

“Not quite what I was expecting, but still lovely and peaceful for a walk. And for $5, you can't go wrong! This looks like a great spot for camping, boating and canoeing. For walking around and checking out wildlife, it was okay. I was hoping to see some turtles and armadillos because they were posted on the website. We explored the Gopher Trail and it looks like it gets a lot of traffic from horses. Once you walk away from the road, you experience the peace of walking between the trees. Note: The paths are mostly sand.”

“This trailhead is connected to the larger Cougar Mountain system of trails. There are great ravines, mossy growth, plenty of options for trails. Some trails feature old mining history (clay pit, shafts and entryways) usually not recommended to go in of course. Harvey Manning is atop a tall alpy hill and features a great view point of Lake Sammamish.”

“Very nice park, however I like the entrance on Morris Bridge more as is it has better access to water fountains. This part of the trail has more diversions to other parks, however, which is nice, specifically Trout Creek and the New Tampa Park”

“Awesome place to get out and explore, hold an event, or just visit any season! It's awesome to walk the gardens in the different seasons, the restrooms are clean, and safe feeling. It is a huge place so plan some time, or multiple visits and you may want to bring some lunch! They have vending machines with several options, and a small gift shop. There is plenty of room for bringing a picnic lunch, and saw at least one charcoal grill by a shelter. The gardens are beautiful, and filled with surprises from the wildlife, to all the trees, and flowers! Plenty of benches to take a rest most shaded, some picture perfect spots to rest and take it all in also. Some of the trails are a little warm in the sun, but also a good choice of shaded trails as well. They are pet friendly but no pets on any structures. We did not try the walk or tower this time but minimal crowds there this spring! The paths are easily walkable, and seemed stroller/wheelchair friendly in most places...obviously excluding the wooded trails, etc. I highly recommend coming to see the Holden Arboretum!”

“Red Top Mountain State Park is beautiful. The cabins are nice. My family from out of town stayed in the cabins. If it wasn't for having to shuttle family back in forth down to the additional parking at the visitor center I would have given 5 stars. Only 2 cars are allowed to park up at the cabins. The options on buying state passes is a daily or yearly. It would be nice if you could purchase a 2/3 day pass when visiting someone at the cabins. Instead of having to stop daily to get one. Other than that it was a great stay for my family!”

“I have visited this park with my young kids multiple times and its neatly maintained by people around and authorities. This park has all sort of swings and slides for younger kids. Nearby short trail is nice and it has a sitting area with a shed. Overall an excellent park with a nice community around. There is no specific parking facility for this park, so you need to park in Parkers Lake parking.”

“Can't wait to get back soon, it's the Atlantic Beach front. The sand is pristine sugar sand, and not a speck of litter any where. There's really cool boardwalks through the mini sand dunes that come off the picnic pavilion and huge parking lot. They need a little work but they are fun. There were 2 trailers of horses in the parking lot in the house trailer only area. I didn't see any signs up, but I'd guess someone could pay to ride them.”

“Big beautiful lake with wonderful views! There is a small swimming hole area (not the cleanest but regardless a swimming area), a big playground area, bathrooms (again not the cleanest, I definitely recommend using another area’s), fishing dock, and a hiking trail that wraps around a side of the lake! There are a few picnic tables here as well.”

“For those who prefer to walk with kids it's a spot for them. There is a fine kids park, dinning space, table tennis 🎾 area, castle structure park setup was most impressed by kids. they're extremely happy to play. Coming back to adults, pavement walking spaces, you can find a swing on your way to mellow out. Less narrow roads. Best place for a picnic spot.”

“Awesome park off of lake Washington. We went in the evening as the sun was receding down for the day and caught glimpse of beautiful sunset with hazy sky as well as pier in front. Great place to spend an afternoon with family as kids can take a dip and everyone can relax on the pier or shore. Parking spots are limited so there could be some wait depending on day/time. Overall great park and highly recommend it !!”

“We have been looking for a place to relax, let go, and get some peace of mind away from the grind of working. Mark, who runs the place, is there for his campers needs without being a bother. The cabins are indeed rustic, but remember...this is country, not a five star motel! For the first time in my life, I watched a beautiful Orb Spider spin a web. Never done that before; Nice. The place is clean, the bathroom and campgrounds are very clean and despite previous reviews I read...the air conditioner works great. We will return to the oasis 13 miles from our home again. And the lake is steadily rising so enjoy some fishing too. Thank you Mark for a great Labor Day weekend.”
