“Good spot to start north up to Holy Hill region. Small lot, only 5-6 spaces including non-marked areas. Only issue is to cross the road a hundred years in, while not terribly busy, locals do drive quite fast.”

“Nice campground. The camp sites are a little close for comfort - basically the sites are like 2.5-wide parking spots on either side of the main road. I can comfortably fit my 5th-wheel trailer with the slides out next to my pick up truck in the parking spot, but there’s no margin in between your spot and your neighbor’s. The full hookup sites have 30A and 20A electrical hookups and water, but the big downside is that the drains are only for gray water - you can’t drain your black tank at your site. There’s a designated dump station at the campground, but it’s a hassle if you’re staying for more than a few days and you have to hook up the trailer and drive over to the dump station and then re-park and set everything back up at your site. The views of Lake Perris are really nice and the campground itself is very scenic and well laid out with hiking trails and a decent beach. There is a bit of a problem with litter on the ground and in the water though. Prices are a little high with no weekly discounts, compared to other campgrounds and RV parks, but I guess that’s to be expected in California.”

“What a super nice little park right in the middle of a bunch of houses. The first time I went there was a cute little mommy and me class going on and someone practicing tai chi. It had a super urban feel and made me wish I lived here to enjoy it more!”

“Nice park. Had a challenge figuring out where the first and next disc golf holes were. Played part of course. Hardly anyone else there. No arrows to next hole or map of course that I could see. But mowed well and helpful bridges over creek.”

“Washoe Lake State Park is a great place to visit in North Nevada. Best to visit in Spring when the water level is high, the landscape is green and vibrant, and wildflowers are blooming. There are a few flat trails and one which climbs a part of the hillside and overlooks Washoe Lake and offers great views of the valley and park below. Perfect place for a day trip or to camp with friends and family.”

“Truly a beautiful place for a bike ride. We parked and entered the trail at the old west main entrance. Easy place to park off street. The trail was clean but the reason for 4 stars is that it really needs to be re-paved. It's showing its age. What I love about this trail is for a while you can here highway 61 off in the distance and the slowly but surely the sound is gone and is replaced with birds and serenity. There are multiple places to stop and rest along the way with benches overlooking beautiful scenery. There are plenty of outhouses and little bike tuneup stands. I do recommend coming here for a bike ride.”

“An inspirational piece of history and natural beauty. Amazing trails for you and all of your companions, 2 an 4 llegend! Lots of running space in an open field that allows all kinds of family and group activities. Responsible pet owners are diligent and very appreciated by our family and community, as well as our fellow trail blazers!”

“We love Getty Park! We really feel a sense of community and the whole family (including our toddler and dog) loves to visit. In addition to the two playgrounds (my toddler loves the bridge, pretend kitchen, and double swing), there is a gazebo, benches and picnic tables, fenced-in tennis court, and big open field.”

“I come here for the Zumba classes with Lauren. The staff at the Rec center are friendly and courteous. You have to pay them before class $5. The instructor is fun , energetic and full of positive vibes. The hour goes by quick and it’s a great workout.”

“Perfect area for some easy hiking, snowshoeing, or sledding. Follow the Tahoe Rim Trail Southeast from here into the woods for the Chickadee Ridge hike. It's only about 2 miles total round trip, puts you on a ridge with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, and might notice a few people feeding Chickadees with birdseed in their hands.”

“We love the Warner Parks. Such great park with plenty of wildlife and different trails to do. There's also bathrooms in the park and some benches. There is also a concerete path that is shaded to walk on, if you don't want to hike. Also perfect for riding bicycles and taking your dogs for walks. In Fall there are a lot of deer to see.”

“This place is a gem. Very beautifully kept, easy access to the lake, right in town so you can grab supplies and what not, but don't feel like you're right down the street from everything. The camp hosts were so sweet and kept the bathrooms immaculate. I had to leave a day early because my dog had to be rushed to the vet, and before I was even done driving out of the campground, they had processed a refund for my last night-which I was not expecting at all. Thank you all so much, we'll be back!”

“Beautiful hidden gem located in Eastern Cary. This nature preserve has an educational/visitor/historic center right by the front gates. They have interpretation and environmental education programming for children. A natural playground with benches and interesting equipment for kids to play and learn about nature at the same time. The best part: miles of trails that send you into multiple different groves of Hemlock, Beech, Chestnut Oak & other Oaks, and Pine. The trails are natural packed and boardwalks with educational signage and stunning bluff overlooks that demand attention from visitors enjoying shaded & cool hikes. I highly recommend checking out all the features that this park has to offer. The staff are great and put a lot of time and effort into keeping this ecological nook in the city beautiful and healthy for generations to come. Stop by and see the Certified Wildlife Habitat courtyard before taking a relaxing and inviting hike through the Piedmont's best landscapes.”
